As we post different discussions and topics here in MyLot, most of us receives various replies from different nationalties and individuals across the globe. With this, do you make it a point in replying back to the persons who replied to your discussion? And if yes, do you reply from it sincerely or you just simply thank them from posting even without reading the context?

If somebody made a good post and it seemed they put effort into what they typed, I would reply. I've been put off by the idea of responding to posters simply because of the many myLotters who leave comments such as 'Thnx for ur reply..' for every person that posts on their discussion. It's really annoying and just so unneeded.
My replies are sincere. I don't waste my time leaving pointless comments.

Being sincere makes us feel good about certain stuff like responding or reacting towards a discussion. Good answer mate. Thanks for sharing. Have fun.

Yes I do make it a point to get back to those who've replied to my discussion. That's what makes it a discussion in the first place. The only time I don't comment is when there's nothing to comment about. Even if I'd like to say thank you for responding, it would be a total violation of the MYLOT guidelines, so I only get to say thank you to those I have something to say to and then thank them in the end.

You are absolutely right. It means that you are reading their replies and answering back with complete understanding and sincere gratitude towards the context of their answers. Good point. Thanks and have a calm night.

hello mchavez,
as for me,I have set mylot settings to receive notification on any responses I will get both from topics I started and topics of others I commented, so I know when my discussion got responses. I will see to it to visit the replies and reply whenever I have something to say or when I can. As a thank you for sharing their opinions, I do rate them positively, each of those who respond to my discussion but of course only after reading, because there are some who just response even they don't understand the topic but for the sake of earning. I don't rate them negatively anyhow, I just leave it there unrated.

Yeah I noticed that too. Some members just reply without really reading and understanding the complete idea or message of your text. Its really better to leave it underrated than reacting negative towards it. Practically a waste of time if you give out negative energy on a specific rubbish reply. Thanks and have fun posting.

Replying to it is just showing an appreciation and gratitude to them sincerrely but sometimes i can't find enough time to reply all those comments, the short"thank you" should be okay, if someone asks a question then i answer it as much as i can. Happy posting.

Yeah I find it hard to reply particularly if there's a lot of replies to a discussion, but I really make it a point to reply by reading what they posted and giving my sincere reaction towards it. Then show my appreciation and gratitude afterwards. Like now, thanks and have fun.

Yes, I make a point to reply to people who have left a comment on a discussion I have started. I think it is only wise to keep the discussion going. But I will not repeat myself just to leave a reply. So, If I feel I have already said all I can. I don't leave a reply. Sometimes it is hard to reply to something 20 different ways.

Discussion is what it's all about on the Lot. That onvolves reading all respomses and usually, responding. Otherwise, I guess it would just be a blog with no response expected or wanted.

I used to thank and comment bask with my discussions but sometimes I can't keep up with it, it takes me a week or two before I can comment back. Once I was really overwhelmed by how much my topic can generate that much response that I stopped going here for a while. but now I am back, so I will have to go back to my discussions and answer some.

As much as possible I want to answer all who take effort to answer my discussions but because of my limited time I wasn't able to answer all their responses. But I always make it a point to at least rate their response with a positive points. I don't have much time to spend here in mylot because as of now I'm still studying.
Have a nice day..

Honestly, eventhough I want to, I can't answer them all. But as much as I can I leave comment to them too and rated them. I made a mistake the first time I joined here because if someone replied to my discussion, I always say thank you which is now I realized is not right.

Yes, I definitely do it.
For example, if a discussion cuts responses from diverse nationalities, you are bound to get diverse responses that are rea;lly so helpful. As an Indian Mom,I asked in one of my discussions about my three year old's non eating habits. So, I had more of Uk and Us moms and even bachelors all over the globe responding so aptly. So, it naturally becomes a courtesy on my part to not only choose the best answer after thoroughly reading each and every posted word but also to reply in detail what I felt and share what I experienced with my kid.

I do reply to replies in my discussion as much as possible. I just feel that it is my duty to keep the discussion alive and to acknowledge other people's replies.

I don't start a lot of discussions but I make it a point to reply to everyone who responded to my discussions. I'll read what they have to say and then respond accordingly. It's nice to have an ongoing discussion instead of just sending a 'thank you for the response' and being done with it.
