i would say not to to reduce your food intake.just go on a low fat diet.and some amount like going for a walk may help you reduce your weight.cutting down on your food is not the right way to reduce your weight.you will feel more hungry later on and you may end up eating more.

well.. i would say you should not reduce your food intake drastically.. recently i read an article in rd where they said that in order to reduce wait one should have never leave one's stomach empty or skip your meals... it was said that one should have food 6 times a day.. but reduce the fat content and introduce lots of vegetables and fruits . that way one doesn't go hungry and your calorie intake reduces.. also try some aerobics or skipping.. that should do the trick..

well it depends how your metabolism works. i can say that you watch what you put in your mouth. lesser the intake of oily foods and work out or exercise or take a walk or jog on the times that you can. exercise helps you stay fit. if you will not lessen the intake of your food you have to make double time on exercising to lessen your weight. we guys need to exercise more becuase we eat more than ladies do. goodluck

The worse thing is to reduce food. the acid created for digestion does not reduce. so the acid acts on the walls of the stomach. this induces to eat more next time which increases belly. if not the acid acts everytime and resulting in ulcers in the long run. in either way it is bad. this is my personal experience. the best way would be to work more /exercise and u need to sweat more. by this we lose lots of energy that was saved the previous day. stop eating the snacks items. reduce or stop all oily items as much as possible.

Okay, I weighed myself the other day as I was noticing that most of my pants are getting loose... and I've lost 10 pounds! The last time I checked before that was about a month ago when I started working again. When I used to stay home all the time, I used to have just coffee in the morning, breakfast around 1 or 2pm or even just eat one big meal during dinner because I forgot to eat breakfast and lunch... but I end up eating a big one a few hours before I go to sleep... Now, because of work, I get to eat three small meals a day (appropriate hours) and snacks in between. Then I get to do my form of exercise in hiking or just moving around a lot. The more you do this, the more you'll feel energized and the more you feel like doing more activities as well. Good luck on the weight loss, rkrish. And oh, I've gone down to drinking the smallest can of soda once or twice every two weeks. Before I used to drink those a lot!

The formula for losing weight is pretty straightforward really, but thanks to all of these diets that spring up all over the place, the whole process has become far more complicated than it needs to be in my opinion and people always seek a quick fix! To lose weight we need to burn more calories than we consume, full stop! Reduce your fat intake, try to eat every few hours rather than 3 big meals a day so you can kick start your metabolism; drink plenty of water and try to exercise at least a few times a week for 30 minutes or more each time. It can be very hard at first to keep motivated, but before you know it you will be doing this things habitually and the weight will start to fall. Good luck!

Hi there Rkrish! I lost a lot of weight when I went into a no-rice diet and paired it up with exercise on the old dance revolution thing on playstation. Also, I would suggest doing tae-bo. It really works.

If you eat food containing more calories than you use up, your weight will increase, as the extra calories that are not used will be stored as fat. The opposite is true for weight loss: when your energy use, or the number of calories that you burn, is higher than the number of calories you consume, you lose weight. So to maintain your weight, keep your energy balance in mind. Energy in is food; energy out is exercise. There are three ways that you can tip that energy balance equation towards weight loss: Reduce your total daily calories: Eat less. Reducing your food intake by 500 calories a day (that's 3,500 calories a week) will help you lose one pound a week. That's due to the fact that to lose one pound of fat, you will need to use 3,500 calories more than what you eat, since one pound of body fat equals about 3,500 calories. Maintain normal calories and increase energy use: Eat the same number of calories and exercise more. You'll be tipping the energy balance towards needing more than your body gets with food, so your body will burn fat to get the extra energy it needs. Reduce your calorie intake and increase your energy use: Eat less and exercise more. If the thought of eating 500 calories less a day turns you off, no problem! You can still lose weight if you eat only 250 calories less per day and exercise enough to burn the other 250 calories. A simple way to burn off these extra calories is walking about two and one-half miles. Lowering calories will require you to think about what you eat, to make sure that you fuel your body properly without tipping the balance. There are lots of healthy, great tasting foods out there that will keep you satisfied and help you achieve your weight goals. Keep in mind, though, as you approach your weight loss goal, that your body's energy needs will change as well. This is because it takes less for your body to carry around less weight! So, you will have to adjust your caloric intake the more weight you lose. If all this seems overwhelming, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian. They can help you meet your individual needs in your weight-loss journey by guiding you towards making healthy choices towards effective weight loss.

Diets simply don't work. However, you will find some helpful advice on how to eat healthily and lose weight -- the natural way. Or by simply paying attention to what you eat each day, how much and how often. Count the calories you are eating today. Write it all down, on your computer. Tomorrow eat 500 calories less. You do need to exercise also. Even just getting up and walking around a little more is something. Jogging and running are excellent ways to help reduce weight. Personally I found eating more healthily and exercising for 30 minutes each day is the only way I have lost weight. All the diets on their own never work for me. Goodluck and I wish you well.
