my sister is a beautiful girl with a loving husband and 3 year old son. she had twin boys and one passed away at 5 months old. since then, things have been up and down for her. just recently though she was admitted to a psych ward for anxiety and not being able to cope. during her stay there we realized she was also addicted to pain pills of ALL kinds. packages were coming in the mail left and right where she had ordered things from the internet. i love my sister dearly and want her to get better. part if me wants to shake her and explain to her that she still has a 3 year old son that needs her and a husband who is trying very hard to make sense of things. part of me feels like i just need to try and understand harder what she might be feeling inside. she will not really talk to anyone. its always a differant lie. please someone help me figure out as a sister what to do.

somehow i can sense that your sister is very depressed which causes her anxiety. no one can ever make a person get out of her own depression, it depends on that person alone when she will be out in that situation. the people around her will be a big help if they are understanding and patient, i hope that her other child will be able to draw her out of it. prayers also help a lot.
she's very lucky because she has you and her loving husband who tries his best. hope that she will be back in her old self because her husband and son needs her. it will be more difficult if because of her being undependable, time might come that her husband may go astray, God forbid, and that will be a bigger loss for her. i hope she realize that soon.
