who sings betta mary j.blige or beyonce?

I love both. Both of their music is awesome. What a hard choice if I had to choose between either. :( I have them both downloaded to my iPod!

Hi! Mary j. blige's voice is awesome but I'm not really into her kind of music :) I like Beyonce's songs better. I have to say, voice-wise, Mary takes the trophy. :)

Well... that's kind of a toughie. They both have sort of complicated voices.Critics have even compared her to Aretha because they say that they have very complicated voices, and has even went as far to say that neither one can sing! Mary has to learn control because while she does have a great voice, it's sometimes all over the place. Beyonce's voice is ok and can even be pretty at times, but then she starts to overdo it and it becomes annoying. If it had to be a choice between the two, it definitely would be Mary because her voice is very distinctive. I've heard her hit some notes outta this world!! Whatever emotion that she's feeling or trying to get across, you definitely feel it. She MAKES you feel her.

I love Mary but I'm not a huge fan of her voice. Her lyrics are the bomb and she has inspired women all over and I lover her for that. But Beyonce sings better than her without doubt.

Personally, Beyonce got talent, I won't begrudge her at all there; but shucks, if you feel she's the only African American woman to sit out there and get paid for shaking that bootylicious she got there, your mistaken. You can go to any of us sisters, and we'll probably beat her hands down, we just won't be getting paid like her though. but seriously, I love Mary J. Beyonce got some evolving to do; I think Listen is what is to come in the future. She got some potential, she's gorgeous and talented; but Mary J. done the time, paid the dues and can sing on it too. Hello!

There are a few songs by Beyonce that I like (I can count on one hand), but I LOVE Mary! In my mind that is MY GIRL!!! :)

Mary J. Blige and not just because she has seniority either. Mary has a soulful, feel it in your bones type voice and B. is just a pop singer .

I like Mary J. too. I think she has a better voice. I think Beyonce is more like a VIP, a star... not as much a singer. Sorry if I offended anybody. :)

I am a huge Beyonce fan but Mary has been out longer and is a wonderful signer also! Acually Beyonce has been inspired by Mary! So Mary J. is a legend and always will be!

i prefer all of mary's music, but i have most of beyonce's stuff in the instrumental version. beyonce sings ok, but her music is great. my favorite instrumental by her is naughty girl. (btw, i like classic rock, jazz, gospel, opera, pop, r&b and new age 2...i like ALL or most music)

Beyonce CAN'T SING forreal. She whines. In the last couple of years she's gotten a lot better, but she will NEVER be the stronger vocalist agains anyone except for maybe Ciara.

Beyonce can get down but err ummm, Mary will have you pouring a drink! Girl can blow.
