do you know about ask.com?????

i did not remember when and how i had install ask.cm tool in my browser, ff. but the problem is when i open a site, sometime this ask.com site will open when i try to open other site. i need to go back to get to the site that i want to open. its happens many time and really annoying.

I installed it - since I liked the site. But I too have not been able to get it off! I have contacted customer service - I got NO reply. I even went to one of my friends who knows everything about computers(compared to me, who can barely turn one on) and even she couldn't do it! It's off my browser also thankfully - maybe I should try and do a virus check and see if there's potential "spyware" thanks for the heads up on that one!

About 2 years ago I downloaded the Ask.com Toolbar. I had some complications with my computer and uninstalled a bunch of unneeded stuff, well that was one of them. Do you know it WON'T UNINSTALL? Very odd! I've removed it from my browser but it won't get off my computer. AND .. every time my virus check comes on it says I have 1 potential spyware program.
