Why can't you understand that the Bailouts are a good thing?

Two arguents in favor of the bailouts: 1) It keeps the companies going so that people can keep their jobs. 2) Creating more money is profitable. (Zeitgesit Addendum www.zeitgeistmovie.com )

That is true, but do you realize that if the government would have taken the bail out money, and distributed it to every man and woman in this country over the age of 18, that it would be well over $400,000 each?? Don't you think that that would stimulate the economy a little better than paying a year end bonus of 20 million dollars to some rich guy who don't really need it in the first place? Of course this is just my opinion, and it don't really matter what I think anyways right?
Nice topic! Thanks

On the contrary, your opinion is just as important as anyone else's. :-)
It's not all about prosperity for everyone, it's all about the wealthy seeing how much more wealth they can accumulate.
You didn't watch the movie, which is okay. It just shows how money is made by making more money and incurring more debt. These billions upon billions of dollars that are being dumpled into the system are weakening our currency, but not until the wealthy have profited from it.
On the up-side, maybe American exports will be more appealing, since they will be so cheap...always look for the silver lining (rolls eyes).
You're welcome for the post!
Happy MyLotting! :-)
