How many friends did you make only from online? In what way they are helping you?
I have got few friends from online. They are from different part of the world. I can learn about different cultures, life styles from them. But I have plenty of friends in real life. They were studied with me in school and colleges. I have many friends from where I am working. they are helping me in many ways. You can also share your views.

Ideally, real friends should be better, but I have had a lot of trouble making good real friends. I think the problem is that I am still in college and pretty mature for my age. I don't like to party and I am not looking for random hookups. I just want people to talk to and hang out with in a quiet setting. So, I've started trying to find online friends. I think it is also easier to talk online. You can think about what you want to say before you type, and you can share things that might be embarrassing to say when staring someone in the face.

I like your point "You can think about what you want to say before type".

I think that ultimately real life friends are better. It's great to have online friends and you can really learn a lot from them about different parts of the world and things like that. But I've found that sometimes people aren't too genuine online, they tend to pretend to be someone their not. I also think that real face to face socializing is very important for people and for society.

One line friends are great, but the ones you know in real life are better. I have met many of my on line friends. They are wonderful people, but we have our own lives so our paths rarely cross.

In my opinion, the read frienes are better more than better online friends ,the real friends can hlep us quetiy when we in the troubles, however the online friends live in different county, hardly see them.so we should spent a lot of time in living with the real friends.

Online friends are great to chat with and share experiences, bounce ideas off of, but it's no substitute for the real life friends. You can't sit and have a cup of coffee with your computer, after all. You can't step in and help out with the kids when your friend is stressed out or go over and rescue them from an emotional problem or things like that. You can't be with them to celebrate victories. There's no substitute for that kind of physical friendship. I have a few online friends but I can't say I would do the same for them as I would for my real life, experience life together kind of friends.
