Window seat or aisle seat, which do you prefer?

window seat - This shot was taken inside Cebu Pacific right before it took off. The plane on the pic is Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific archrival.

I've been doing a lot of traveling and every time, I always get the window seat and has gotten used to it already. I love the window seat because it allows me to marvel at the scenic beauty down below. And it has helped me overcome my fear of heights. However, some of my friends prefer the aisle seat for different reasons. How about you? Which do you prefer? The window or the aisle?

I prefer to sit by the window.. It is just something about sitting to close to the aisle. I like to look out of the window as the vehicle is moving.. I really do enjoy this. Being at the end of the aisle makes me feel that I am going to fall off! Even if I am wearing my seat belt!

I've never been seated near the aisle. I might as well try it once.

windows seat. I usually don't have to get up, but I haven't been on a flight longer than 4 hours.

Mmmm... me too. It's actually best if you take the window seat on short flights. On long haul flight, though, I think I would prefer the aisle seat because I go to the bathroom a lot.

I always prefer to get a window seat when I fly away from the wing so I can get a lovely view. I see the land after taking off until the plane lifts into the puffy white clouds. I feel happy for the duration of the flight being next to a window. I see the land again when the plane descends before landing. On my flight home from Kenya I saw a superb view of the pyramids. I fell in love with Sydney when I saw the amazing view of the opera house and the harbor bridge. In the Maldives I flew on a tiny plane and I saw a great view for all of the journey. The islands below looked lovely and the reef was awesome. For my flight from Singapore to London I sat on the front seat in economy class because I was on crutches and that has lots of leg room. Usually the seats are close together. One time I got a free upgrade flying from the Maldives to London. The comfort, space and service were excellent.

Yes, the world is too beautiful to behold from above. Everything seems to look lovelier from a bird's-eye view. It's a different kind of experience, I must say. Enjoy your travels, maximax8!

You can say that again. If I had to pay extra for a window seat, I would gladly do so.

Whenever I am travelling in bus, car, train or plane, on taking a seat, I get feeling sleepy & get a good 1 hour or more sleep. That's why I do not take window seat bcoz somebody want to enjoy the seat outside. But, when I do not get a sleep while travelling I relent that why didn't I get the window seat. LOL!!!

You have a point there, my friend. And you are being considerate by giving the window seat to someone who will enjoy the scene while traveling.
