Purchasing new laptop!!! which 1 to get?

My brother is about to but new laptop, but he has asked me to find him some on the web, i don't really know which ones are the best, to me they all look alright? Can anyone tell me any good brands to lookup and what it supposed to have inside...

I guess buying an important gadget reaLLy depends on the budget appropriation one does.. Because there are plenty of high end laptops in the market nowadays but they're quite pricey. So I suggest, you choose a brand which is known for its efficiency and affordability.

well the budget is between £500 and £600, but this is an issue that i have, i don't know which brand to look for...

I'd suggest you to look at the specifications. Make sure the CPU (processor) is at least 1.9 GHz and the memory (RAM) is 3 GB DDR2. You will have a good working laptop then which is pretty fast!
Especialy if you get Windows Vista on it you definately need 3 GB DDR2 because Vista only uses 1 GB. So you have 2 GB left for other things.

Ahh thanks mate, and do you know any good brands because there are so many of them and most of them i never even heard of!
