I had a sheer intention to learn to ride a bicycle. When I used to see other poeple driving a bicycle, I became a bit surprised thinking how it is possible to drive a vehicle which has only 2 wheels! I thought, it was very dangerous to ride on a bicycle, because the cycle may fall down by one of its sides. As it cannot stand like other three or four wheeler. One day I thought, I will learn to ride on bicycle. I borrowed a bicycle from one of my friends and went to a playground with another friend. I fell off the cycle for a number of times and got a little injury. But within a few hours I learnt riding bicycle. It was no more a difficult ride to me. Can you ride on a bicycle? How and when did you learn?

I started with a bike with training wheels when I was little. Maybe around 5-ish. I practiced a lot around... and then got the training wheels off later, so then I needed a lot of practice and help. My mom or dad would take me in front of our house or to the park, and hold on while I started, and let go later. Eventually I could on my own. I fell a lot, and I guess it took a lot of patience to teach me. I enjoy biking even today though!

Well I learn driving a bicycle when I was 10. When I saw a bicycle, I do thought that it was really hard to drive it. How can you drive with a thin thing with two wheels? I really envy those people who knew how to drive it. Then one night, I dreamt of driving a bicycle and it was so much fun. Then I woke up and realized that it was just a dream. During that day, I was motivated to learn and I tried hard how to balance my body. It took me so long to learn it and like you I got some injury before I was able to learn and control the bicycle. Learning to ride a bicycle is like a facets of life. You have to be hurt first so that you will be able to learn from your mistakes.

I started cycling way back when I was 10 years old. We had no bike so I have to borrow to learn how to bike. But it was my father who thought me how to ride the bike. Starting out with me on the bike and him holding the bike so that I will not lose balance. In three days time, I was already riding on my own.

I learnt when I was 12 and just like you I fell a number of times till I be able to actually ride it. There have been lots of years I donĀ“t ride one, so I have no clue if I know how to do it anymore. But people say you never forget how to do it. I hope this is true.. haha.

I was pretty young when I learned to ride a bike. My older sister had one long before I did and I remember just watching her made me really jealous and I really wanted to learn. One day, my dad bought me a mountain bike (just the right size for me). I was so eager that I couldn't wait for my dad to teach me, so I asked my older sister to teach me how to ride my bike without the training wheels. I remember my older sister holding the back of the seat to help me with my balance. she asked me to start paddling and so I did. I was strolling down our street with my sister assisting me. I could remember, after a few tries, I was paddling and I wasn't aware that my sister had already let go of the back of the seat. I was riding my bike on my own and she would just run after me to help me whenever .I wanted to stop just so that I won't fall. Those were the fun times.:)

Freestyle BMX - Mikey Perez - Freestyle BMX has grown to include five distinct disciplines. These are Street, Park, Vert, Dirt, and Flatland. These usually involve technical movements of the bike in different ways over varied terrain. There are also three disciplines which are participated in mainly by riders who are not affiliated with the major BMX organizations or sponsored events. These are High Jump, Leap Of Faith and Drag.

It was during those grade school days of mine when I first tried to ride a bike. My brother and sister got me on the bike and just pushed me hard enough to keep me in balance. It was cool though I was unconsciouly pedalling and when I got back to them, I really didn't know how to stop so my brother and sister also helped me on halting. (^_^") I really learned how to ride a bike when a friend had his and we went to that local arcade. His mother found out though and she was too upset to see reason that we were just kids having fun so she disassembled my friend's bike. Good thing that my friend didn't blame me about it. Just disappointed I guess but, later on, his bike got assembled again but, I already knew how to ride a bike by that time and wanted to have my own and a few days before a particular birthday of mine, my parents took me along and got me a bike. (^_^ ) I even considered trying BMX but, the set-up I had wasn't even close to actual BMX bikes.. I couldn't even do a proper bunny hop (^_^") I wouldn't mind having a BMX bike right now.. the one we have isn't really that good at all.. (-_- )

Hello little_boy. I learned to ride a bike when I was 10 years old or younger. I forgot my age. My dad bought me a small bike with training wheels. Every time I learned how to balance, he would remove one of the training wheels until there was none. He would hold me at the back of my chair then give it a little push while my feet are on the pedal. I would always loose my balance but I still tried harder.

At first, i had a hard time controllng/navigating it as i don't know how to balance myself.. I was about to give up but hubby told me that i shouldn't.. i tried and tried and yes, after pain, patience and hardwork, i was able to run it smoothly..thanks to hubby!

Like most children, I started off with training wheels. My parents would help me practice everyday, then when they felt I was confident enough.. they'd take off the training wheels and let me attempt that. eventually I was able to ride without training wheels :)

Hehe interesting question. =) Like you it seems, and many other kids, I also was very excited about learning to ride a bicycle. I knew how to ride one without the helping wheels, but I really wanted to learn to ride a proper one. My parents helped me out a lot in my "quest", but I think that my grandparents were the main contributors to my success - I can't remember how many times they went to the park with me and gave me advice while watching me struggle. xD I think my first attempt was on someone's old bicycle when I was about six, which didn't go too well and I was pretty disappointed. xD I tried again later, and after falling off many... many... times (also like you), finally mastered riding a bicycle. It took long time to learn, but at the end, I couldn't help but feeling proud at my accomplishment! xD

Bicycle which is like an airplane for me when i was a kid and i told my father to teach how me to ride the cycle but he was too busy with his work. And i decided to learn by myself, and i bought a new cycle and went to a road were there is no people traffic and which is been of fully plain walls all the sides so i kept my cycle near a wall and i get on top of it and started to pedal by balancing the wall and i tried to free my hands from the wall.I do this for a week and suddenly i missed the balance from the wall and the cycle was moving and i was balancing it,there i learnt by myself to learn to ride a bicycle.

It hard to learn to ride a bike but it was worth it. I envy my sister and playmates when I was a kid. I was the only one who don't know how to ride a two wheel bike so I seek help my cousin's help and my sister. They taught me and guide me through the learning process. It took me almost three days to learn. I perfectly remember that day. It just happen that after they taught me for a couple of hours in my third day, mom called us for lunch. After that I tried again to ride a bike all by myself and to my surprise I know how to ride a bike. It was one of my most memorable and happiest childhood memories.

I have two brothers, so when we were kids the boys wanted to ride a bike. They were both very athletic, but I didn't want to be left out so I learned to ride the bike as well. When we were really small, our parents bought us the little Tykes kind of bike which was super stable. When we got a real bike, it had training wheels. But from what I can remember, riding a bike has always been a breeze for me. I didn't have to struggle with it unlike my experience with rollerblading and driving a car.

I learned how to ride a bicycle on my own. My brother had a bicycle when I was still in high school and he gave it to me when he had a new one. Since no one wanted to teach me how to ride a bicycle, I had to learn it on my own. I first learned how to ride a bike with side car, so it was a tricycle . After a few months, my father removed the side car and I was able to learn riding the bike a lot easier then. I was so glad that I didn't experience falling during the first time that I rode my bike.

I have an older brother and a younger sister.. I was the last to learn to ride a bike... It took me years to overcome the fear I guess.. Until when I was 11, I tried to go downhill on my brother's bike alone.. I just thought about overcoming the fear.. Without anyone there to help me, I was peddling off on my own.. They say once you learn, you never forget... Cheers!
