Help needed...

Philippines

I was going over some discussions that I can respond to when I happen to stumble upon one discussion that reminded me of how many discussions similar to it that I have come across for the past months. This was a discussion started by a myLotter who was asking about a certain site and how the site works. While going over the responses given to that discussion, I realized that instead of addressing the question of the author, the respondents instead told the author to check their profile and click on the banner or the link they have so that he/she could join under the respondent and would become a referral. This is not the first time I see such discussion and how it was responded to by other myLot members. Not that I am against people inviting other members to become referrals but I think that the ones who are curious would appreciate it more if their concerns or questions are answered first before they are even invited to join under them. Help is obviously needed by these people who ask questions and I think that they deserve answers to the questions they post rather than asking the person to join under you before answering their questions. Just my thoughts...

Those who post question about sites that they are interested in joining should try reading the Faqs section.. sometimes, the homepage of the site would have the details that they want to know.. then again, its always convenient if you'd ask a member and the member simplifies everything.. Your right, their inquiries should be answered first and then be suggested to be invited under their referral..

You are right. It is more convenient to ask people who might have had experience(s) in those sites. They would have been happier to get answers for their queries rather than links...

Well, sometimes, people tend to think that they help out others by helping themselves first.. (^_^")

It means that we are living in a fast society. Many users just skim the paragraph and give their answer and they skip on to the next message without even bothering if they have answered the discussion properly or not. © ronaldinu 2008

I agree with you on this. I think that's one of the reasons why some get responses that do not even fit the discussion.

actually since you opened up this discussion already i am also in wonder why this such discussions is not banned. i mean this is mylot a place for discussion but why do they have to make this a place where they have to invite others on another site. okay they need referals, but why not send an private message instead of opening a discussion about how this certain sites work and how it pays good. well this is only my views i find it really wierd to see discussions about another site

Firstly, they have no interest in the discussion. They are here on promotional basis and that explain why they can't give the right response to that discussion. I have worse cases here where someone requested for friendship and when I approve the next minute they send me a link and ask me to join. I could have shouted at her to get lost if she is right in front of me. She made a fool out of me for my sincerity in approving her friendship request.

I have had the same experience with friend requests that ended up with them sending me referral links without even responding to any of my discussions.

Yeah. I actually posted a question about how long myLot approves Blogs because mine is still Pending after more than a month. Then a mylotter answer my thread saying I could join his/her money-making program. Oh well.

Hi dolce! Unfortunately there are alot of people who are here for their own selfish purposes. And they are not here for the same purposes as we are. They are here to get referrals and then disappear. I had a friend say that someone pm's her asking her to be a referral and then she never heard from her again after she got what she wanted. This person was very upset. She had seen her in other discussions but never in any of hers again. So alot of people are here with their own agendas. I would have nothing to do with anyone that would do something like that to me. If someone approachs me with a friend request and I have any idea that this is what they are looking for then I will deny them immediatly. That is not what I am here for so they can just move on to the next person.

I fully buy your arguments, when one is asking some questions, his questions should be answered first, instead of directing him to some site or referral links. If a member can respond to his query, that will be a better situation for him, his doubts will be clearer and after that he can check the referral links. But what to do, some members wait for this kind of an opportunity and they do not hesistate to post their referral links.

I completely agree. Every money making web site has its pluses and minuses. While research is important, sometimes hearing from a member is better. However, I am more likely to believe someone who tells me the bad with the good than someone who says that the site is perfect. I know for a fact every money making site has some sort of pitfall. Therefore, anyone who tries to proclaim that their site is perfect is definitely hiding part of the truth.

Hi there! I have responded to some topics like that, inquiring about a site especially those money making sites. I do answer their queries first and try my best to give them informations about the site, even if others have already only responded, "visit my profile". I too find it not appropriate in giving such response. At the end of my response though and after all the explanations, I still invite them to visit my profile just in case they are interested. Ciao!

Hi, I agree with you, alot see these discussions as an opportunity for themselves rather than answer the discussion fully, which I find very sad because not everyones on mylot to make money I come on occassionally to answer good discussions and the fact a lot seem to be looking for an opportunity spoils the whole idea of mylot.
