Today I was cleaning my kitchen and i needed an SOS pad, I looked under the cupboard and reached in the box and felt something move by my hand. What the heck is that?? I pulled the box out and instead of finding soap pads there was a mouse. It wasnt moving much so I think it was almost dead. I have seen those suckers run like crazy. I had an exterminater come out a few weeks earlier. But it scared me so badly I screamed to my son. "A MOUSE!!" Then I preceded to throw the box and all out the front door. lol Mice ar cute as long as they dont live in my house lolHave you ever had any experiences like that with pests??

Oh no, not a mouse. I remember when I was pregnant with my son. I was thinking all day at work about what I was going to eat for dinner. I then thought I would love to have baked chicken. When I went home I prepared the chicken and put it in the oven Later when I went to check on it, I heard noises coming from the oven. I thought on shucks don't tell me the oven is broke. I opened the oven door and a silly mouse came running out out of the oven and I ran out of the back door. My sister was living downstairs, and I actually fell down the stairs landing at her back door, with my seven months pregnant belly. I told her what had happened, then she said, oh before we moved, (she owned the house and used to live on the third floor) when we took the air conditioner out of the box a mouse ran out.
My brother in law had to go upstairs and capture the silly thing for me. Needless to say, I did not have chicken for dinner.

Yes, one day I was being very brave and caught a mouse by neck. To get more control I tried to use my other hand and in nick of time middle finger of that hand was bleeding. It was such a pleasure I can't describe. Wonder how I managed to not even slap that little thing!

Once mice around us got very bold and made a home for them in our home while we were away on trip. Returning from trip, I assigned myself the job to show them the door. Thus started the daily battle...
Each night they waited for us to sleep, and than started the noise of their playing. So I went one day to stop them. All of them ran away, excluding one who got under oven. Joyfully I went to give it a good treatment.
I looked under the oven, it could not be seen. Got closer, closer. Suddenly I saw its red eyes and hesitation took on me. The creature got its chance and ran for life, running directly over my head. LOL
I also liked the way they jumped in front of closed door(while running away from me)!

I think I would have freaked out if I had grabbed the mouse like you did. Yuck! Thank God it didn't bite you! I have had one run past me before and when I worked at a library (I worked in the basement - a lot of our desks were down there) a big rat ran between a circle of us while we were talking.
I would have thrown that sucker out the door too! If my son would have seen the mouse he would have screamed for me. He is not good dealing with vermin at all.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

yay! i hate pests! we used to have mice inside our house but when dad came home last summer to spend a 30 day vacation here, he did all the techniques to catch those pests.. and yes, the bait he made worked! Thank God! The reason why i hate those pests is because they are deadly.. yay!

Ewwwwwwwwwww. I have done that too. I grabbed ahold of something and felt something in my hand, it was a mouse. I screeched and threw it. I probably scared him more then he scared me. I am not afraid of the mice, I don't want them in the house. I haven't seen any in this house, I have too many cats. I am afraid of rats though, they really scare me, ewwwwwwwwwww.

Ahhh! It touched you?!?
I have a seven-year-old girl-esque scream at the sight of roaches, I can't imagine what I would do if I saw a mouse, let alone had it touch...my hand!!
And those aren't the cute, cuddly mice that you find at pet shops - those are the nasty mice that are filled with bacteria and germs that feed off of nasty stuff...and...ew! Your thread title says it best!
I would call the exterminator BACK to your house (LOL) and have him spray the WHOLE house until that mouse is looooong gone.
Ugh...that topic actually made me shake a little...and I actually just checked under my desk to see if anything was there!

I think there are some people who like mouse, especially if they are white and they live in a cage, hehe.
We also have some mice in our home and we just use a fly catch paper with something on it to lure the mose in to the trap. I think its mostly effective if you put something on the trap so that you would catch lots of them.hehe

We occasionally get mice in our house and I can't stand them. A few months ago we had one in our house and the cat caught it and brought it to me. The cat sat it down and I had the mouse and the cat looking at me. I grabbed my two little kids and ran out of the house. My husband was cutting grass and he had to come in and remove the mouse from the house. I wouldn't go into the house until it was gone. Unfortunately I don't think we can get away from getting mice in our house from time to time but I do hate them. As long as we only get 1 a year I think I can handle it - I set the trap and my husband has to dispose of them.

Wow you grabbed the mouse? I remember one time being in a pet store and a little white mouse had gotten out. All the employees were trying to catch it and I bent over and picked it up by the tail. That little sucker turned around and bit my finger hard, drew blood. I zinged it back down to the floor real fast. Then they cornered it and put it back in its cage. I was so worried that it had a disease or something. But as it was being sold in a pet store I guess it was healthy. But although they are small they leave a nasty little bite. You are very lucky that thing did not bite you.

Once you see one mouse, know that there are more around. Mice reproduce like crazy. About 15 years ago my Mom went to shake out a rug that was in storage and a whole family of mice jumped out of the rug. She screamed. I know that mice are small animals, but when some of us see a mouse, we scream. Mice are more afraid of us than we are of them, so why do some of us scream? Is it just because "it's a mouse" and we thing they're gross? There is no right or wrong answer...just curious :)

Well one time i was doing the dishes and my cat Billy was sitting by my feet. I seen something in his mouth in the corner of my eye. At First glance it looked like a ball of dryer lint. But i knew it wasnt. It was a mouse!! So i ran away into my bedroom while my boyfriend got the broom and got the mouse from the cat, killed it and threw it outside..ewww gross

The last house we lived in was way out in the country and we had huge mice and it was so sick. I hated it out there and could hardly sleep. We just had to move. There was no way to get rid of all of them with all of the corn fields around us and we even had 11 cats and 2 dogs and we still have mice and rats. Yuck i am getting sick just thinking about it and i am so happy we moved.
