koine greek

I'm taking Basic Greek syntax this year (just for the record we're talking Koine greek not modern). Just wondering if anybody else out there has studied it or is studying it? It's the Greek that the Bible is written in, makes for a fascinating study, although hard at some points. Definitely worth delving into though. Any takers?
