Okay, I must admit that I am not always diligent about recycling. When I drain the last bit of Diet Coke from the can, my first inclination is to toss the can into the trash. Recycling in our community is not as easy as having a separate can to haul out to the curb, we have to drive it down to the transfer station (and only if you are taller than me - I can't reach the recycling bins!). How many of you really try to recycle and how many of you throw paper and cans in the trash without thinking twice about it?

Well I must say that there isn’t a recycling policy in my country or community .We all know that we should recycle however very few people myself included ever do. I think if there was a public policy in place with even special receptacles ,then maybe more people would sign on however at present few if any actually recycle. I will however make a special attempt do a bit of recycling in my own private space

I don't recycle at all. When I get newspapers, as soon as I'm done with them they go straight in the garbage. During the holiday season I had about 20 family members eating at my house and the last thing on my mind was washing dishes, so I bought all disposable plates, cups, utensils and paper towels. I also buy a lot of pop in cans and I don't give them a second thought as I stuff them into the garbage! The only time I think about them is when the garbage is overflowing and I have to look at them. Oh well, I guess that's why I have at least 15 bags of garbage every week.

When I'm at school we definitely recycle as we have a recycling program in my school city. At home, we don't have very easy access to recycle anything so we just end up throwing much of it away except for soda cans because we can turn those in for extra cash. However we can't really recycle anything else. Sometimes I bring items from home to be recycled so I know it will get reused and not wasted.

hi kellys3ps!
I do not recycle often. when it comes to cans or bottles, I just throw them into the garbage. the garbage collector will just take care of it
But I do keep plastic containers and paper materials. I dont throw them if I can still use them.
take care

Hello,
sure i recycle, as the most of the people. I also know lot of persons that recycle continuosly, also if maybe they're shy and they will never admit with others that they recycle.
And i guess recycle is a good thing: is you received a GIFT that you don't like, RECYCLE it is a must! In a period of economic crisis, who don't recycle all the unliked gifts he received, is really crazy.

I am a recycler. I cash in my pop (soda) cans. I recycle newspaper, plastic, regular paper, and cans (soup cans or similar). It would be more of a pain to recycle if you had to drive to the recycling center and dispose of the items yourself. Thankfully I have access to recycle bins at my residence.

I don't have the habit to keep the cans after the contents have been used. but I keep books and newspapers after I read them. Whenever there are too many outdated newspapers, I would sell then, instead of throwing them away. The outdated newspaper worth around USD0.10/kg, that's not much, but at least make me feel more cofortable then just throwing it away.
