Because of my husband's work,we are now living in Davao City,Region 11-South Mindanao...Although Davao City is supposed to be the "Safest" city to live in the Phillipines...I could not help myself but get worried that we are leaving our house for 2 weeks to spend the holidays in Manila-Luzon part. In our previous trips, we have a house help to look after the house. But this time,she too is going home to Luzon with us since her family is in Antipolo city. She will celebrate the holidays with her family. I have no idea what to do to make our house secure other than the padlocks which are very easy to destroy. Is it right to ask the neighbors to check on our house every now and then? Is it necessary to leave a spare key of our house to the neighbors? There is an assigned security guard who goes around at night,but will he be enough?We have a tall iron bar gate and wall but the house can be seen through the bars. I really dont know what to do...our things are all here as our house in Manila had been rented out to a Japanese couple.Please share your thoughts on this. We will be leaving the house on December 19 and will be back on January 5 2009.Thank you very much.
