When we had our very first noche buena dinner. When I was young, we do not do this tradition every December 24th. But when we grew older we get to understand the importance of celebrating a tradition together, as one family. It kept the bond in the family, and we feel we become stronger as we get closer and closer. We learned it is not the gifts that makes Christmas special, it is the togetherness we share with our family. And the real reason for Christmas – Christ, Himself.

I am not familiar with the noche buena dinner, but it sounds like a wonderful tradition. I don't have a best Christmas, however, I like best those Chistmases that focused not so much on prensents but had lots of food and drink with pleathy of family and friends. I am not a Christian, so I celebrate Cristmas a secular holiday but I do try to join my Christian frinds in the Christmas rituals and support them a much as possible. At its best Christianity has many tenets which I find really very compatable with my own belief system.

Good question. My best Christmas would be one of my childhood years when most of my family got together for Christmas. I don't remember what year that was but I know it's very uncommon for all of us to have Christmas together under one BIG roof.
It wasn't all about presents that Christmas, but don't get me wrong presents were involved. I just love spending time with my family.

Hello fedge08. My best Christmas is last year. My aunt from Canada visited us here in the Philippines and it's really fun because we have a reunion. I saw my aunt and uncles from different places and we really have happy times celebrating christmas. In our noche buena is very funny. My aunt gave us gifts with "cash: inside and we danced and sang christmas songs.
