I, too, love reading. My favorite types would include classics and fantasies. Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and Mark Twain among my favorite classic novelists; Phillip Pullman, John Marco, and JRR Tolkien among my favorite adventure/fantasy writers.

My favorite type of book tends to change with my mood. I like fiction, classic novels, documentaries by a few writers, and I adore young adult novels. But then sometimes I will go months without reading anything but travel writing or motivational books. It just all depends.

I don´t know so much about manga, but I´m reading one of them written by Gosho Aoyama. It´s about a teenager detective called Shinichi Kudo that is poisoned by a
mysterious guys in black.
But the poison doesn´t kill him, only converts Shinichi into a six-year-old boy, but with the same intelligence.
In Spain, the country I´m living, this manga is called Detective Conan and in USA is called Case Closed. Do you like it?

I like reading romance novels because it's so easy to read. The story's nothing special really, but I still young adults fiction novels like the twilight series and Harry Potter books. The imagery is so nice, and everything's really easy to understand. I hate books that challenge you to think about philosophies. Eeeks! Those give me headaches...

I really like mystery-type books based on history (like those by James Rollins). I am a history student and these really peak my interest. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a good one lately. I tried reading Temple by Matthew Perry..it was awful.

I too love to read books, but I preferably like to read, historical romance novels, fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, some classic novels, mystery, and some drama-romance novels. For me, reading books are quite nice as a pastime as well as to lessen my stress as well. Especially light and comedy books, really quite cheer me up. Also, I learned some of history and culture on the historical novels that I read.

I love reading book that have a story line along WITH history. Like when I was a kid. I read those Dear America books and there was one about a girl and boy on the titanic and you know. I like those kinds of books. Then recently I have read the Twilight Saga. It's a really sappy love story, and I love it! They start off in high school but they don't stay in high school, it has a way of appealing to all ages. :)

I love reading. Since a few years I´m reading about 30 books a year. Novels mainly. Some of my favourite writers are Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle, Terry Pratchett...
But horror books are my favourite. Clive Barker´s Books Of Blood is a contemporry masterpiece. I love It, by Stephen King, too.
Definitely, horror novels fit me. Any recommendation?
