My husband and I really want to take the boys to Disneyland soon - we were talking about buying the boys some suitcases for Christmas and putting tickets to Disneyland inside. So that got me thinking, what is the best gift you have ever received or given?

I think the best gift I've ever given is photo cross stitch I made by my self. It takes time and effort to do it, and I know people I've given will be very happy for it.
And for the best present I'ver received... oooh it's hard coz I don't know. For me, as long as it's from heart, it's already the best. I can't choose one...

I think the best gift is something I gave to my boyfriend, who i have been dating for over 5 years now. For our last anniversary, i really do not have anything to give hime since i am out of work for about 2 months and so, i don't have enough money to buy him a decent 4 year anniversary gift. I made a modern day scrapbook/mixed tape kind of thing.
Since i am in front of the laptop most of the day, i decided to make him something using my laptop. I made a movie about us (using the movie maker program of microsoft office), how we struggled and fought for our relationship, happy, sad, angry.. everything.. I compiled every picture that we had since we started dating and i created a story about it, and to top it all of, i made some comments on some of the pictures. I researched on the most beautiful love letters in the past and i also created some of my own for him. While the pictures appear side by side with the love quotes and love stories that i found applicable to us, I also pasted a background music of our favorite love songs. The movie lasted for 25 minutes and he was teary eyed when he watched it.

This is silly but the best gift I have gotten was on prom night my senior year from my dad. My dad hasn't always been emotionally connected so this was a very big deal for me and I still have it. It was a necklace (a little gold chain with a small pendant that says "I Love you- with a diamond in the O). The best part is my dad picked it out- not my mom for him. So it is very special to me and I still wear it.

hi kellys3ps,
the best gift i've ever recieved was this year on my birthday (Nov. 1) and my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Cuba for him and I and we leave on Nov. 18 so I didn't even have to wait long! and he presented it in such a sweet and romantic way, with a little poem and a timer counting down how many days until we leave for Cuba that is on my keychain, loved it!
that was the best present i've recieved in a while, although the laptop i also got from my parents was amazing (my old one just happened to crash right before my birthday)..well this birthday was probably THE best I've had LOL
