Last night I was trying to remember what my husband got me for Christmas last year. I know I got a few gifts, but the only one I can remember are my Eeyore slippers.
Last year was tough for me, because I was almost 9 months pregnant. My son was born January 16. I didn't want any gifts for the baby, I didn't want anymore maternity clothes that I would wear much. But I also didn't want anything that wouldn't be used until after the baby was born, like normal sized clothes or anything like that. I know I had a hard time coming up with things I wanted, and he had an even harder time coming up with gift ideas. But other than the slippers, I can't remember a single thing I got.
Do you remember the gifts you recieved last year?

Yes last year I did really well out of my hubby and in fact I think it was the most he had ever bought me. He bought me three bottles of perfume, a pair of earrings, some sexy pjs and some chocs.

You must be easy to buy for. I'm not big on perfume, but now and then I like a nice body spray. I don't wear jewelry except for my ring. I usually do get chocolate, it's sort of something I expect each year.
I'm pretty difficult to buy for I think.

Hello katsmeow! I still remember what my husband got for me as Christmas gift. We were not still together because I was still in Philippines that time and his gift arrived early January instead of December. I received a digital photo frame, 2 hollister shirts, a carrying bag for my digital camera and bunch of chocolates. He knew I love chocolates so he always included chocolates every time he sends me packages. This Christmas, I do not know what I will have. When it comes to gift, I am always the one choosing what to get. Though I want him to buy something that he chose. But, I may get diamond jewelries this Christmas!!

Actually I don't remember the holiday at all last year. Last year was hard, my first year without Mom. And with it just being me, my guy and my stepdad none of us really wanted to celebrate. I seem to recall I invited stepdad here for a change so he could cope better and it didn't go all that well. He ate in a rush and then went home right away. And here I'd worked for days baking, cooking and cleaning. This year won't be much better I'm afraid. We are in the middle of a move and almost everything we own is boxed up. We aren't sure if we are moving before or after the holidays, so we are just planning on skipping it all entirely. I sure hope next years holidays are better!

We don't celebrate Christmas but my birthday falls around the same time.
I don't remember getting anything for my birthday last year (not that I always do).
The year before last...my husband was the first one to wish me and the fact that he even remembered my birthday was a pleasant surprise (now I wonder if that had anything to do with Saddam Hussein being executed on the same day!)

LOL, that's cute. I have a lot in common with Eeyore too. He's my favorite Pooh character.

I remember some of the things I got last year. I got a cool cookie cookbook and a calendar with a different cake for every month of the year from my sister. I got a blue tooth hands free thing from one of my brothers, some candy from another, and some Burt's Bee's stuff from my mom and a flashlight from my dad. I know there was more but, I am not sure what else.

No, I have a pretty bad memory. I remember things that use though. Like I know who gave me that pink bag or the red wallet. But I can't remember the date and year. I'll know if it was a birthday present or a Christmas present too. I wonder why I can't remeber the years though?! Christmases just blur together...

I remember well, kats. My husband and I decided not to buy each other anything. We bought only for our children and grandchildren. We had decided to buy whatever we needed when it was on sale after Christmas, but I can't remember going out and buying anything, because, once Christmas is gone, it's not Christmas gifts you are buying. And we made it through this year just fine.

While I can't always remember everything my husband bought me for Christmas or my birthday, when I look around my house, I can say "My husband bought me that bath lotion basket" or "my husband bought me those new baking pans". I think that at Christmas, I am more concerned with how the kids are doing than myself. So I don't always remember exactly what I have been given.
Also, we have been married for 18 years and knew each other for 1 and 1/2 years before that. There have been oodles of valentines, birthdays, and Christmases together. I can remember the gifts when I see them but I don't remember the specific occasion or year of receiving them.
