Do you think the Yankees will land CC Sabathia?

Well, what do you think? I heard they are very interested in him and offered him a 6 year, 140 million dollar contract which would be the biggest contract for a pitcher ever. The Yankees want a championship now and are doing anything to get it. If the Yankees don't get him, which team do you think will? Will he stay in Milwaukee?

The Red Sox are not considered frontrunners for Sabathia, and I dont see them trying to sign him as they dont have much money coming off the payroll this year. Competing with the Yanks for Sabathia are teams like (in order by how serious the teams are) 1. The Angels 2. Dodgers 3. Brewers- Those are the only three other teams I could see landing him, with the Brew Crew being a long shot.

The Red Sox need to preserve some of their cash considering that they need to sign Pedroia, Lester, Ellsbury to long term deals once they become eligible for arbitration so they are looking at the free agents, just not willing to spend as much as the Yankees do.

I think that the Yankees will try to improve their pitching. I am not so sure CC would be a good fit there, face it, it is a tough place to play ball. All of the expectations from the owners to the fans makes it hard to adjust to the big city.
I suspect alot of teams will go after him including teams like Seattle. Not many teams have the money to compete with the Yankees, but I would also think Boston might be interested and even the Angels.

Yeah, the Yankees are trying to improve their pitching. They say they are also making offers to AJ Burnett and Derek Lowe. I think their offense is OK so they are fine in that department. I think Boston is going to be a leading candidate in CC but the Yankees are going to get him.

With a deal like that? He'd be stupid to pass it up. If they don't get him, he'll probably stay unless someone offers him a good deal.

It's big money, but from the reports scattered around, it seems that CC is hesitant about moving back East [not necessarily in New York] and he prefers to play for a team out West.
