First season of Heroes was successful. It was surprising and thrilling, full of interesting characters such the naive Hiro Nakamura or the confused Claire Bennet. Peter Petrelli and Sylar were complementary characters. And the last episode of the season "How To Stop An Exploding Man" was one of the best ever. Second season was extremely harmed by the Writers Guild of America strike. Tim Kring, creator of the show, apologized in front of all fans and promised that Heroes will recover the level of quality reached in season one. However, the third season is turning aout to be very disappointing. Two writers have been fired and there are rumours of cancellation. Here is my question: Which elements would you change to improve this third season and avoid cancellation?

I wouldn't change anything. It will all come full circle before Volume 3 ends. It's sad to hear that people have had so little faith in the amazing writing to start cancellation rumors. The eclipse, for example, is, as Hiro told Parkman at the end of the last episode, is a hero's trial. They had their abilities taken away to learn how to be heroes without them, to rely on themselves rather than their abilities. It will all come full circle before Volume 4 starts in January. Plus, if Tim Kring and Kevin Reilly get their way, while all of the other shows are going on holiday hiatus until January or even February, Heroes will only take off the weeks of Christmas and New Years. The idea is this will give them a jump on shows that are in rerun during the holiday season (which has already started happening - Bones won't be back on until mid-January according to the commercial at the end of Wednesday night's episode).

I think Monday night's episode was proof that everything is going to wrap up. Noah is back to his old ruthless self and so is Sylar (not to mention, now we're rid of that little gadfly, Elle). Claire understands where Noah is coming from in protecting her. Hiro's still in La La Land but I think he'll snap out of it soon. Everyone, except Peter, has their powers back and I still think Hiro will help him get them back....or rather help him not lose them in the first place.

And the audience is improving. This always is a good sign: 3x01 y 3x02 = 9,890,000 3x03 = 9,280,000 3x04 = 8,210,000 3x05 = 8,630,000 3x06 = 8,460,000 3x07 = 8,150,000 3x08 = 7,820,000 3x09 = 7,600,000 3x10 = 7,850,000 3x11 = 7,950,000 Source: www.zonaheroes.com

Hope you are right. I really like Heroes and I wouldn´t want to learn NBC cancels the show. Thanks for the reply.

I agree with the matter of too many characters..No are a lineal argument , but too many small histories bad connected. Less characters would be better.

Yeah, this is something I missed while I was watching the first season. I was always thinking: "When those special guys are going to meet and work together?"

I agree show is in trouble. We know all is not well when writers are fired. My problem are the story lines, as several are poorly written. There are to many characters and not enough time is available to develop a strong story for each character.

Yeah, maybe this is the problem. The scripts are very poor, full of contradictions and so on. There are millions of comic fans all over the world, but they are not silly and their patience is about to expire...Thanks for the reply!

I would say they get to the point - like now. Arthur Petrelli has important plans it seems and doesn't want "good guys" around. But why? Too much complication will not leave the show as popular as it should be remembered.
