Okay I'm a gay man who has a hard time finding a date, because I'm so busy with work and other stuff, plus I hate the internet sites, because I can never find a decent person on there. Am I the only one who feels like pounding my head against a wall in desperation? I just wish there was more time to do stuff ya know.... so I could find my perfect mate....

A lot of people find love and romance from work colleagues, or by pursuing leisure pursuits, going to leisure centres, gym, sports you can meet people, form friendships and maybe even develop into relationships. I agree the internet is not the best place for dating and I have dated in the past and I have had a few bad experiences, so many people are dishonest about themselves, it's easy to be someone you are not on the internet. Sometimes you find love in the most unexpected places and certainly when you are not looking for it! You are only in your late twenties you are still a young man, have patience and faith it will work out, be positive. Sometimes when we wish hard for something we can actually get disappointed! I have been in relationships which have turned into nightmares. I don't think anyone is perfect anyhow so don't be too disappointed!

I have felt like I would never find love either. I got pregnant right outta high school, and of course the father left while I was still pregnant. Haven't seen or heard much from him since, and my son is now 4. It's very hard being a 19 year old girl with a baby, and wanting to get out there and find a nice guy! I went several years before I found the guy who is now my husband. We ended up just meeting by chance - he happened to live up above me in the same apartment complex. We started dating, moved in together not long after that, and now we're married! He's older than I am, which I figured would happen since most guys my age (23) run the other direction when I tell them I have a son. Anyways, it will happen when it's meant to happen. You can't force love. I often believe that God has everyone's lives planned out already, from the moment you are born to the last breath you take. Don't try to change it.
