Modern technology gave us email, cell phone, fax, text message to communicate with persons who are far far away. In the past we wrote letters or telegrams to convey our message. Now we nearly forgot to write hand written letters not only that we also forgot the style of formal writing.Last saturday, my grandfather requested to write a letter for him,I sat to write also. But I became astonished that, I have forgot the structure of formal letter. I then suggested him to send a text message instead of letter or sending a composed letter. At last I made him to think that hand written letter is backdated.Lol

I don't think that anyone would ever be able to decipher my handwriting if I was to write a traditional letter on pen and paper. Emails and text messaging are better and gets there fast. Cheers!!

I must admit, nowadays I mostly email or call friends, but there is nothing like an old fashioned letter. Think about it. Opening the mailbox and taking out a letter from a friend. I hardly ever write them anymore, although at Christmas, I do try and send cards with personal letters for a change. We have lost something with all the new technological ways of communicating. I wonder what people will look at years from now...no letters to document history the way it has been done in the past. No letters from presidents, authors, ancestors, etc. It's sad in a way, but time marches on. There's no stopping it.
