I started a discussion about my dads hand being cold and not being able to use it. Well here's a photo showing that his hand is not cold and it does work. Only when he wants it to that is. He has no glove on today and he loves feeding Buster his treats. Just wanted to share thios cute photo here with my friends is all. Do you love training your pets for a snack? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Grandpa Bob, shame on you!! I hope you're just kidding when you say his hand is not cold because you can't tell just by watching him feed Buster. Strokes causes this to happen however, I'm not sure about his type of stroke though. I'll have to look into it more to see but I would imagine that if he had a stroke on one side of the brain such as in his case would be the right side then it affects the left side of his body so maybe that's why only his left hand is cold, who knows but it is real. My mom has it in both of her hands because her stroke was in her brain stem which affects both sides of her brain. I'm going to get her some battery operated gloves for her birthday (one of her gifts) to help her out. She can't write yet either and it's almost 7 months later. She gets so upset because she can't hold a drinking cup right, she tries and does sometimes but not all the time. Please don't knock your father down over this because some day, being that you're related to him, you might have one as well and find all that your dad has told you to be true and you're going to feel some kind of bad for not believing your dad. I know it's hard, I'm with you in this, it is hard but you have to believe him until you know otherwise with proof.

Now you've gone and made me cry. But I feel the hand and it is as warm as the other. But it is selective as far as use goes. He says he cant squeeze a ball for exercising it, but yet he can squeeze and break milk bones with it. It's not that I disbelieve him it's just something for me to whine about maybe? Your dad reminds me of the ones that pretend they can't hear but hears what they want to hear. Your dad hands doesn't work and is cold but when there is something he wants to do and likes to do his hand is fine. Looks like dad and Busater gets alone fine. And he teaches him great tricks. At least dad is good for something.

They say that pets bring out the best in people, and they are often used for therapy in rest homes. So maybe Buster was coaxing your dad to move around a bit more. Well...that and Buster was talking him into giving him that treat. LOL

You've heard the saying, "You get old and funny?" Well who knows maybe there is truth in that. Your father often shows interest towards Buster and that tells me, Dear ol' Dad has a very kind heart. He never was perfect, none of us are so why would we think it'll change? hehehe. Take Care my friend.

Hey grandpa bob! Yup! I guess you're right about his hand! Sure doesn't work ok when Buster's around! I guess it must be psychological! He totally forgets when he's busy with other things that he likes doing. So I guess Buster is good for him! Too bad he can't stay that way all the time! That's why they say pets are so good with elderly and sick people! Now we know why!

My mom is back in Florida now and all of us--Gus, Cookie and myself--have some weight to lose! Mom loves to give Gus and Cookie treats and they always gain weight when she is here. So do I, as Mom loves chocolate and I can't resist. Mom doesn't gain weight easily, never has, but I so much as look at candy and it goes straight to my hips!

That is a lovely photo! He is a clever dog, the most my dog ever did was give me her paw although if I said for her to give me the other one then she would. She was pretty clever.

That is so cute him and Buster. My son can just point and our dog will sit for his treat. Maybe your dad needs to give Buster treats more often to keep his hand warmed up.
