Do you think Hockey is the most dangerous sport?

I don't like to watch hockey. Too violent. Also, the players get into too many fights with each other. It's just a game. Get over it!

Even with all of the equipment it is pretty dangerous.I have two btothers who play on college hockey teams.They are always breaking their wrists and have accidentally broken other guys bones from hard hits.They have had more concussions than i can count over the years.It is just a very physical sport.When you go up against the boards the wrong way or when your head hits the ice,that can be dangerous.I will say hockey is a great sport and i love watching the game.

I'd say hockey is more dangerous. Football doesn't have the boards to slam into like hockey. Also in hockey, you have the sticks and the skates, both which can cause serious injury. Plus you're traveling at higher speeds on ice. And yet, I think hockey is much more skillful and dare I say elegant.

Hockey is brutal, yes, but i love it!!! I dont like boxing, because its violence without motivation. In Hockey you want them to fight because so and so just knocked your guy into the boards, so now another guy on the team will defend his team-mate and take on the guy who did a dirty check, or whatever the case may be. You feel like the fight have a purpose, a reason, and its not just fighting because some guy rings a bell and says ''fight''. I also agree with the other poster, car racing is incredibly more dangerous.

I think hockey is relatively safe. You're not allowed to hit someone with their back turned into the boards. We seen last year when a skate cut a Florida panther but that is rare. Ruutu bit someone the other day but he was suspended. Fighting isn't like it used to be. There is still some fights that get carried a way but for the most part its the other teams fighters against the other teams fighters. Hockey gets a bum rap but all sports are dangerous.

Hockey is a tough sport but the most dangerous, not a chance. You have MMA,NASCAR,boxing, kick boxing, rugby to just name a few that seem more dangerous to me. I have been involved with hockey for the past 8 years and have seen many things happen but 99.9% of the time the players leave the ice on their own power.

Fighting and hard hits are a part of hockey.It cam be dangerous but the most dangerous sport? No. I think car racing is more dangerous.In any instant there could be a car crash.
