Hey, I'm interested to know what majors people have and why they chose that major.
I chose Music Education after a long time being undecided. I actually hadn't been in band since my senior year of High School, and just decided band was something I missed. After a that semester in band I realized music was the only subject I really was interested in, besides education. So I put the two together and decided to be a music ed major. The scary thing is that they might cut the major from my school now from lack of funding =(.
What about you guys, what are your majors?

My major is Human Services because I want to be better able to help my local non-profit organizations (such as the Humane Society) and disadvantaged people as well. This may lead to a job relating to social work or it may lead into something else, but I want to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

That's really cool...very few people actually want to help people for a living. I remember my freshmen year of college they asked us what the most important thing was in our future careers...Everyone but me and this girl a couple seats across from me said Money. I'm glad to hear that there are still people out there who want to make an impact for others and not just themselves!

When I was in college, I majored in Psychology because it was the in thing at that time. However, as I became a professional, I realized important and relevant my course is, since it entails understanding human behavior. Looking back, I have no regrets whatsoever why I chose this field. I have a lot to share because my course is so wide, it encompasses almost everything except perhaps Math, Physics and the like. It's a major which gives me wider perspective about life and about human beings....for me, it's the best thing that ever happened to me....
