I use a highlighter when reading my book or notes, they say that there's a psychological effect for every color that you use.. Green/neon green relaxes the eyes and orange is for better memory? I don't know if that's true, I use neon yellow, they say that it makes one sleepy, lol, I think there's a little true in there.. I feel sleepy whenever i study, lol

Yes, I use Pencils or other sketch pens for marking, while reading.... but, I don't mark in the examination times.... I use to read already marked sentences during the examination time......

Ya....I do not use a marker but is use a highlighter to highlight the important points and it goes a long way in helping me during my exams. It saves a lot of time by helping me to find answers easily and skimming through the gist of the lesson because I always do a lot of last minute study...

I used to use a highlighter to mark what I thought were important facts in the text. I stopped using this method when I realized my studying for the courses was taking up a great deal of time. I have read that highlighting and taking notes while reading acutally prevents your brain from retaining the information. After reading this, I began to make an outline, i do not write more than 2 words any line. This forces your brain to retain the information...and proves a memory trigger when studying instead of a crutch to lean on.
