Have you experienced difficulty in writing? How many times you thought that you'd rather think of 100 things to do rather than writing? Many of us claim that it is hard to write but like any other skill, it should be learned before we can hope to write well. In order for us to write well he must have something in mind first. This will be possible if we use our power of observation. Learn to see things. Open our eyes to see the world around us and to the people we meet.We must also develop our imagination. It can help us a lot. By means of it, we can go to other land, see different people and scenery, and observe different ways of life. In addition to those, we must also develop our power over words by enlarging our vocabularies. There are only two things which are certain in writing. We begin with a blank page and end up with a final draft.

Depending on what I am trying to write. Most of the time, it is fairly easy, but sometimes, when I am just in that "blah" state of mind, it is difficult to articulate what I am trying to get accross. Plus, I am one of those people who can write on and on, while still on topic, broadly. So, at times, it is a task to keep it short and to the immediate point.

Although I consider myself a writer and have sold many articles on the internet and even won a short story writing contest when I was in high school, I find writing to be difficult, for the most part. The only time writing an article is easy for me is if it is about a subject that I know that doesn't require any research on my part. I do think some people have a "knack" for writing and others don't. Even though I don't think I have the "knack," with a lot of work, I can do it and be successful. Take care.

Writing is difficult. With practice it becomes more easier as you may get more apt word for right spot. It does not happen all of a sudden but needs constant effort from outpart with reading, thinking and constant writing. For some, it may be an inborn skill too. Some would love to read from young age and such people could always do better.

I find it extremely difficult to write an article. You described it perfectly by saying '100 other things to do'... The weird thing about it is, I like writing. It took me three times to pass the writing proficiency test in high school, I've never sold an article in which I wasn't instructed what to write about, and I get blank thoughts all the time - but I like it. If I try to decide why I like it, I guess it has more to do with liking language. I like arranging sentences and putting in commas and spell checking, etc. It's the topic and point of the article I have trouble with lol But Oh, how I love it when I finally do have a final draft - what a relief!

I started out by reading a lot and it is quite amazing that you can write about what you read. You may agree or not agree with what literature feeds you but you can always write about it. Starting off like this can bring out the good writer in you. I was never good in spelling and grammar. But my wife is very good at it and she has been proofreading most of my pieces. I have learned a lot and she taught me how to use a thesaurus. It really helps.

For me the process is really rather ironic. I usualy get the best ideas for articles when im in the middle of soemthing really important like studying for a math or other midterm where the subject is totally unrelated to my idea. However once i actally begin to write my article or devlope it further i cant get to far and always leave it half done for another time.

it depends on the topic. some topics are easy to write about and i can go on forever and write a very long article. but some topics, i just cant get started or think of anything to write about. then, i would need to do some research for some ideas on the subject before is start writing.

I really need help with this, I try to write like I am telling a story to someone out loud. But many times I become way to wordy. On mylot that's not a problem but for anything else I think it is.

My problem with writing is getting an idea. After I get an idea I usually have no problem writing.

Everyday when I sit down to write and see a blank page. I can think of a thousand other things that need to be done right now. I do believe that writing is a learned skill. When I have an extreme case of writer's block, I just start writing something. Anything. Just throw some words on paper. That usually gets me started and once I do, the words flow. I like what you said about the power of observation. One of the things that I like to do is to take a notebook with me and jot down my observations of the scene using each of the five senses. Some of my most creative lines come to me by using this method.

When I have a plan I don't have a difficult time writing. This month I took a challenge from the owner of ezinearticles online: write an article a day in November. At first, it did seem daunting. But then I thought I would take a historic event or holiday that might be relevant to my expertise. So far it's been both fun and on track! Going into the challenge with a plan helped me fill that blank page each day easily. I love to write though so I believe that add to the fun and easiness. But never before this challenge did I write this many articles. It's amazing what we can often do with a challenge!

i sometime find it difficult to write an article. But it is true indeed that you should have a clear image in your mind of the thing that you want to write. I try to visualize what am I writing about and once when I start writing I do it on the basis of my perception. Then it becomes easy for me to write. Another difficulty that I face while writing is how to give a suitable end to my article. I always feel that the start and end should be catchy and impressive. Besides this if I have a clear aim in my mind about writing then I can do it with less difficulty.

It hard to write an article. Many times I just stare at a blank paper and don't have any idea what should I write about. It is really painful to write but if you would have a topic it would much be easier. I think writing itself is not that hard and painful, what topic to write about is what really makes writing a tough one. When you had a topic it is much easier to start your first sentence. Writers must have a broad vocabulary to have a proper words to use.

I'm a frustrated writer, lol, but my problem is when I have gathered all the courage in putting all my ideas in writing I would be caught up blank. I would totally forget everything and would just forget about it. So I make sure that when I think of anything I have to write it down so I won't forget it. When it comes to word power, because i'm not a native speaker I still have to look at my dictionary to make my article sensible. I usually write everything like the same way i'm talking and I realized it's not as good as others writing. I still need to improve a lot when it comes to writing. don't you think so?lol, have fun!

Sometime I do find it hard to write an article. I will start off real good and then I will run out of gas. It is like I get writers block. You have given some great tips in your discussion and I will make sure that I apply some of them. Thanks

It takes a lot of patience in writing article but if you are the type of person who has a great passion in writing, everything comes easy. I have been writing since I was 13 and did not stop eversince. Writing is my passion, I even maintained a personal journal to scibble my sentiments and plans. I am a freelance writer and a blogger who finds extra income through article writing in the internet. Everytime an idea hits me, I just grab a ballpen and notebook and pour out everyting. Reading is an excellent way to increase vocabulary, it is also a good source of expanding your horizon in writing, learning from other writers with their ideas and styles, just make it sure you won't copy them. Learn and try to build your own writing style and surely you will find success in writing. Understand carefully the topic you want to write and make some research before starting to joggle with your keyboard. It is best that you have enough knowledge for the topic you plan to write inorder to deliver a sensible article.

I think that everyone always says how hard it is to write an article, but in reality its hard to research for your writing. I mean once i have done all my research the words just come to me as i write. It all just flows together into a wonderful piece of writing, but I know when i don't research for my papers it is nearly impossible for me to write. sometimes it even stresses me out and i want to quite, so I've just learned over time to research first. haha
