what will you do if you are in this situation?

I'm a freshman in university,now,in the beginning of campus life,these annoying thingd are bothering me all the time recently. noe i'm on the run for members of Communist Youth League,but as far as this situation at president,it doesn't just need hard working,i must do something to make up to my superior,and controll relationships with others painstakingly....but i don't likethat,i hate that,I just want to be myself,i want to do what i like,not such things..
what will you do? give up the election? Or do what others tell you to do?

hi friend,nice to meet you again.
I think that just part of what you need to learn in university. i mean how to get along with different people,that's really a philosophy. you can not include it with one word 'make up to'. other than knowledge,one should learn more such as communication skills in university.

But I think I don't need to get this skill.My dream is being a reseacher of Psychology.Just do my work,isn't it?

oh i have been in the same situation and had the same distress.and after some consideration i gave it up.because i think the happy life is the most important.

If you want your college life to be happy, then you should try your best to do what you want to do and try to learn as much as possible. In college, it is a common thing that monitors of the class or any member in student union or some organization alike, get less scores, learn less from the books, and tougher to find a good job after they graduate. I am not threating you, at least at my univesity, it is the case. Because they are too busy to do jobs for teachers, and other students.

everyone of my friends tell me to do what ti whant to do,but in fact it isn't easy.For example,i don't like some people in school,but sometimes i should cooperate with them....
