Normally when you write and post discussion mylot normally selects the first two sentences (I suspect they do so by a program or algorithim) to use to advertise your discussions to other readers.Since this is the first contact persons have with your discussion, this is where you have to make an impression otherwise your discussion will not get read but what if you did not have a good opening line ,your discussions will automatically get very few responses.
Do you think a better way should be devised bt mylot to select your most eye-catching line.Or is it your responsibility to ensure your most catching line is at the front of your discussion .
Hope mylot doesnt penalise me lol - just for discussion mr mylot administrator -just discussion lol

Well you have two ways to draw people to your discussion... one is through the title you select, the other is by what information you give in the first lines of your discussion... so it is your responsibility to try and make your most "eye-catching sentences" at the very beginning. If mylot were to screen every discussion and pick what they think is eye-catching yo might not agree with their selection or it might be taken out of context or other such thing. Also, the showing of your discussion to other users might not be as instantaneous as it is now.
At least this way it is predictable and you can control to some degree what is shown to other users.

It is right. They show the first two sentences by a script. Probaly either ASP or PHP. Anyway, I think the title is also very important. Personaly I read the topic title first, then the first two sentences to see if it's an interesting subject. Otherwise I wouldn't open it to read.
