I got to thinking the other day, rather than god making man, ive always had a problem with that, wouldnt we be better off recognising that man made up god to answer the unanswerable? For example, if god in heaven made angels, then who in hell made man?

you may like to read about a nun's story who actually saw jesus's face, i think her name is sister faustina or sister fatima, as i recall, she saw the exact face of the jesus we see in the 3 o'clock prayer. when she saw the image or i think jesus really showed himself to her, the nun immediately called a painter, not so sure if the painter was well known at that time. the painter was able to paint everything, the rays from jesus heart has different colors that meant different things.. you may want to try that out..

If it is true that God is Omni-potent, present, etc.etc and is the All. Then how did he make himself? Paradoxically then, creation never started and will never end and always is, yet operated every nan-second of every day that goes on forever.
I think ego made man in physical form - but spiritually man always was, is and will be. Could be wrong of course - just to add a little more confusion of that which cannot be understood.. ;-)

yes i can certainly see the can not be understood bit, astill i think it is always worth challenging. If all we do is accept we are in grave danger, although the world of the ignorent is a happy one.
blessed be

Oh yes, definitely worth challenging. I see that is what spiritual growth is all about. I don't know about grave danger though, as everyone is growing back to who they really are, even though is may not appear to be so by the rational mind. Or perhaps I am wrong there, that everything evolves to nothing-ness. But if there is only nothing, there is no fear as well as no joy. Hard one to contemplate though! :-)

I think man always thought that there must be someone superior to him above who created the universe. Religion tries to answer why God created man, why God created the universe, man and the animals. I don't agree with your statement that God is man made.

God made man in the garden of eden, and named him Adam. then he made him a woman for company, and called her Eve. they sinned and became sinners, and had to reproduce and suffer for it. hence, the world population we have today.

As whiteheather39 said, Genesis says that God Created man in His image. But I have to agreee that people have always and stil do try to imagine "God" as being "like a manexcept more so.....
I believe that being created in the image of "God" we resemble him like a photo or a reflection in a mirror. Not in the physical sense of course... I don't believe that "God" is limited to some crude physical body that resemble a human form.. But in the sense of mapeole having a similar characterin that we have the capacity for imagination , creative-thought, aat tleast a limited self-awareness and the ability to make choices.

I have never had a problem with that. The bible says Genesis 1:27: “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” IMO that is prety clear and straightforward.
