When the bank teller declared that withdrawal was successful even my atm card is with me and nobody has ever hold it to make withdrawals.Their answer
was that they cannot do anything about it.That was 5 years ago.Since then I hated automated teller machines.I withdraw all my money in that bank and hated to make transactions.

I'm not quite sure I understand your discussion. Did someone else use your card number to make a transaction?

That happens more than we think! Identity theft is on the rise, for sure. There are plenty of people who care only for themselves and choose to steal money earned by other people rather than earn it themselves.
On the good side, identity theft protection is on the rise as well. The criminals are being caught and sent to prison. Unfortunately, more crop up all the time!
I belong to LifeLock identify theft protection. It costs $9.00 a month and, to me, is well worth it! They keep an eye on your credit reports constantly and insure you for up to $1 million in protection so if a thief does manage to steal your money, you will get it back.

No one from my side use the card because I intented it for late deposit transaction. It was really an unfortunate experience with the bank.I was charged for experience.Maybe a scrupulous person by chance used the same pin I used before. This is one of the errors of ATM they should admit.

I don;t know what kind of bank you deal with because we would get our money back here, they would do an audit and realize at the end that they had more money then was said to have gone out. It happened to a friend of mine, it took several months, but he got his money back.

Hi Erssyl, I have never experienced this with ATMs and have always received the correct amount of money. I am sure the bank could have done something abou it as the cash held in the machine would have been over the amount it had dished out. Sorry to hear this has happened to you and can understand why you choose to withdraw direct from the bank itself now. Huggles. Ellie :D

All ATM's have photos of each transaction. Use it to prove it was not you or your card and file a police report right away. Good that you closed the account, maybe write email to corporate office also. I never use ATM, I dont like them either!
