Have you earned with affiliating?

Has someone earned online affiliating? And if so, have you done little, maybe little more or really big bucks? It would be nice to hear other peoples stories an advice. Would yo like to share your experiensis? How about taxes? If you live ouside of US, do you pay your taxes to your own country or does the affiliate marketer pay it before you can have your payment?

I am into affiliate marketing. Before I simply join many affiliate sites and some are converting and some don't. This year I dropped all those previous affiliates I joined since I didn't earn money through sales. Now I joined 2 affiliate sites (herbal supplement and another of similar competition) that gives commissions ranging from 30% to 40% per sale and 10% on repeat sales. So far I made $42.00 in my herbal supplement and $35 (not by sales but through performance visits - link in my profile) on the other. I haven't received a payment since the minimum payout is $100. I don't pay taxes for this in my country.

Thank you for the respons. Hmm..I´m so new in this so could you pls tell me what does mean "some are converting and some don´t"? Can you help me with that? =)
It does sound good that you have already made some money. It would be nice to know when you do get them and how long did it take to earn them? Have a nice coming week =)

those affiliate products i promoted before that doesn't convert are based on the number of sales per total visits for the month. right now i am only maintaining 2 affiliates since the other that i earned $42 seems to be converting. i became a member there since 2007 but became active last month only. september i redesigned my site and october i launched it. this month i made a couple of sales already for only 5 visits! it's not bad at all for a new webstore :).
i earn money on the other affiliate not from sales yet, but because of referring 100 unique visits/views to the product landing pages i am promoting. i didn't know this before that my affiliate is giving a $10 bonus once you have referred these 100 unique visits/page views. right now for new members, they give $45 sign-up bonus to become their affiliate. the link is in my page here in mylot - top right part.
what's good with these affiliates i am member right now is that they don't charge anything to become a member. their payout is $100 and pay through check or epassport.

With the coaching program I'm in now, I'm doing about $108 a month recurring income. I started it 2.5 months ago. The teacher is excellent. He can teach in an easy-to-understand manner, breaking it down into small steps, and he makes affiliate marketing fun.
I also was able to get over 100 people into my list. I've never done that before. I've tried over 7 coaching programs and probably close to 100 ebooks worth of stuff.
What I've learned is that you can make money online in any profitable niche as long as you're promoting a quality product and most importantly, you have a good teacher.
If your teacher's style doesn't resonate with you're learning style, you're going to have problems. Just find a coach that works well with your learning style.
BTW, never pay more than $500 per year for an online coaching course or any coaching course. Learned my lesson on that one.
