I would rather know... why? well, I just want to be prepared and know what to expect since there is an option. I know my husband beg to differ as he likes surprises... but I would rather know...

I have two children and I wanted to know with both of them. It didn't matter to me if I was having a boy or girl... I was excited to know I was pregnant. I just wanted to be prepared and not have to buy everything in unisex (yellow/green/white). I also wanted to choose a name for him/her. Truth is, I didn't need an ultrasound Tech. to tell me because you have to wait until about three months to tell (we all start out as girls!) but by then I was dreaming in only boy (when I was pregnant for my son) or girl (when I was pregnant for my daughter). I asked the Technician, as validation and was correct with mine.
I think if I were to have a third child... I will just follow my dreams and if they don't tell me, I would welcome a suprise next time!

When I was pregnant I did not have a preference about the gender of my child, but I really did want to know. When I first went for ultrasound my husband (who would have preferred to not find out) said, "I hope they can't tell!"
And, the tech couldn't tell.
I spent the next month hearing everyone tell me that it must be a girl if you couldn't tell.
Next month at the ultrasound I was on the table less than a minute when the tech announced, "It's a boy!"
I would have loved a girl just as much, but for some reason it was important to me to find out. But, I have no judgement toward those who choose not to. I think it's a matter of personal preference.

There are so few surprises left in life that I think it is great to wait until they are born. We didn't find out with our sion and it was definitely a surprise. Apparently somewhere along the line we had both assumed it would be a girl, so I had to check after my husband announced he was a boy.

its better to keep it a mystery... be it a boy or a girl both are lovely as much as they are kids..
