Why do people who go to college do it? I am just wondering, because I asked another question about the reason, and I thought that this would question would be another interesting one.

I'm going to college so that someday i could land a decent job and not just a job that only requires a highscool diploma. The jobs that require a higher education usually pay more. Furthermore just the shere knowledge is enough to make me want to go to college.

People usually got o college because they are training for a specific job or job field.
I am going to college to get the knowledge I need to help my community. This will probably lead to some type of employment but that's secondary to the reason that I started going to college which was so I could learn to help other people.

The reason to some situations will get simple and accordant if the circumstance is special. I can promise that everyone here who is the same age of me are struggling in schools boundless homeworks and exercises. Everyone learns desperately to get the admission letter to college, even some of them have never come up with some dream or plan. Just with others, study,study,study...

College is a place where people go to increase their knowledge, to prepare for a future career, to get a new experience, to meet new people.
A lot of people have different reasons to attend college, but all of them want to change their life for better.
Every person wants to improve his life. So, college is one of the places that helps one get more from his life, to meet more opportunities. Knowledge is a power that can be gotten through studding. After graduation people may get better job and completely change their career and life.
Then people go to college to get a new life experience, which is very important because students learn to take care of themselves. They learn how to save money and keep house, how to arrange their time in in order to get all things done etc.

i'm in college to better myself and to get the credentials to secure my sons future. I'm a single mother of an autistic little boy and we all know kids aren't cheap. Overall though i think majority of people go to college so they can get good paying jobs because college degrees are everything in the employment field these days if you plan to make any kind of decent money.
