what do you prefer Alienware or Dell XPS for gaming

I don't think there is really much difference between Dell XPS and alienware anymore. I think it was a year or two ago that Dell bought alienware so really they are both the same company just different divisions. I'm sure they share some of the same technology they just have different boxes and different branding to keep the old alienware customers. I have had both an alienware desktop which I loved and an alienware laptop that wasn't so great. The alienware laptop wasn't a gaming laptop though which I think was the problem. It was sort of like buying a hamburger from a chinese restaurant.
