Does anyone know what the lag is from on Mylot? I would guess the server is overwhelmed but I am not even sure exactly what a server is! I just notice that on this site everything seems to take just a little longer than on most other sites I frequent. It really isn't that bad, but definitely is noticeable. Just wondering, and thank you.

I find that somdays mylot is slow, but that is because there is so much good stuff on here, so many people logging on here etc and that makes it a bit slow.
I don't mind so much now as I know I am always going to find something good to reply to, something good to read. And waiting for your friends is just worth the wait

If you're seeing a lot of slowdowns, it's probably either your ISP having a problem or your computer running slow. Sometimes, a part of the internet between you and the site is slow and traffic has to be routed around. I come to Mylot almost any hour of the day or evening, and I never experience any real slow downs. Once in a while a page may take some extra time to load, but not usually.

Yeah, myLot is really slow sometimes. I guess there are just a lot of people logged on right now! It is good that there are a lot of interesting topics being discussed, but it sure can make it slow! But, this doesn't happen for me as often as it used to. So, I just deal with it when happens.
