I am in charge of a fund raising project at my church. I am not sure what I can do to accomplish this. The goal if $1000.00, I know that people sell cookie dough, cookies, candy etc. I was thinking of something else, does anyone have a good fund raising idea?

If you have a group of people who are willing to work you could start a lawn and home thing. Like, go around the neighborhood or something mowing grass, weed eating, assisting the elderly, or cleaning houses for people who don't have the time or energy.

that's what we usually do also, but we see to it that we have a sponsor when we sell, i mean we get them for consignment, in that case, whatever doesn't sold will be returned to the store and at that we have no loss...sometimes we also do the christmas carols from house to house, that way we share joy to some people by singing and in return they give anything or money for helping others too...well i dont know if you do that in your places...but any proceeds we get from christmas carols will be given to charities or to the street children!

You could do a spaghetti dinner and do raffles at it. That way, you would reap not only the money from the sales of the spaghetti dinner, but you would also make money from the raffles.
The raffle prizes would be whatever you (and whomever is helping you) can sweet talk local business people into donating. They get free publicity; you get free stuff to raffle off for your church.
