Hello Stay at home mothers of mylot. I was just curious how do you spend your days? I am also a stay at home mother and I am just going nuts! I get so bored and don't know what to do. I was just wondering what you other moms do to keep you busy.

I work now and have for the past 3 years but when I was home with my children I never got bored there is always so much to do around the home, for the children, with the children, for my hubby, ect... If your children are school age and you are really bored try getting involved as a room mother or with the PTO, ect.. at the school. If you go to church they are always in need of a hand here or there. So that's an option also. I wish I had a day or two when I was staying home that I was bored because now that I work outside the home again- I am never bored- there isn't enough time to be bored. Good luck to you.

Well I completely understand that and you know after reading my response I did want to add- enjoy some of the boredom because before you know it those days will be long gone and you will long for a time when there is nothing to do but just sit, or read a book or magazine. I feel for you I know what its like trying to run one here and one there- sometimes I just want the simple days back of playing in the yard or at the park. You sound like a great mom- keep it up and remember a little boredom is God's way of saying here's your BREAK- you've earned it.

It would be nice to be involved with all the school stuff. I was when my oldest was in preschool, but that was before the others came. i really enjoyed it too. I have two in two different preschools right now and both are at different times of the day so I am either picking up kids, dropping them off, plus I have a 10 month old at home still. So it's realy hard to be devoted to specific times for anything.

I tried the avon thing, but I'm not much of a sales person. I don't even want to think of christmas. LOL Thanks for sharing

I am not a stay at home mom... since i have full time work... i would love to be a full time mom so that i can take care of my 2 year old daughter... but that is not possible... since i need to work in order to make ends meet... But i have a sister-in-law who is a stay at home mom... both her kids go to school... and she is left all alone in the house... so she participate in mylot... and do some mystery shopping so that she won't get bored all the time...

I thinking being at home and working both have equally the same advantages and disadvantages. I love being at home, but get bored. I also need to work to make ends meet, but the price of sitters is outrageous and while gas was up it was pointless, I was paying to go to work. Just have to way out the good and the bad.

I do have cleanning too, but I get so tired of doing that every single day. And getting a job these days is so hard, let alone the cost of a sitter! thanks for sharing

I am a stay at home mom with a son and another baby on the way. I do write articles or do something online. Elese, I try to read some books for my son. I take him out in the evening. Whole day is occupied for me and I am passing ecveryday with atime table. So I do not feel bored at all.

I have an online business that takes up a couple of hours every morning. Of course I make breakfast and lunch for the kids. My two older kids are at school most of the day, my youngest goes to pre-school 2 days a week. So I have to keep him entertained, then I need to do housework of course, and shop and all that kind of stuff. Then any spare time I have is spent myloting, or doing Gather.com, or Epinions, etc. I am involved on lots of sites. So it seems like there is enough time in the day to get to each of them.

I am pursuing my education, online. There are many colleges that offer online programs and I went with Bellevue University at bellevue dot edu . Since my daughter is a toddler who can not speak yet, I have her watch the "preschool prep" DVD series and the "signing time" series. Occasionally I babysit one of her friends, which is a lot of fun. When the weather is nice, we go to the park or to our local museum. She doesn't understand what's at the museum but she likes it there. Happy MyLotting!

Yes I have recently thought of that too, but mine would be renewing my liscense for CNA so I can't do that online. At least not until I move up to LPN. Good luck with your grades and thanks for sharing. Happy Mylotting!

While my 5 1/2 year old is in kindergarten, I spend time with my 4 month old. When she's taking naps, I'll jump online, do some work, crochet a few hats. I'm the type of person who likes being in a low key atmosphere, so I just find things I enjoy doing alone.

I need to find a hobby I enjoy, other than chatting on mylot. I use to crochet but for some reason I could never get it to look good. LOL. My stitches were never the same tightness. Just wasn't for me. Thanks for sharing

I just love when people assume that we SAHM have nothing to do but shop, take lunch with friends and visit the hair salons! Not that anyone here has said that, but in my life, quite a few people have made comments about how it must be nice not to work! I had more time to have my hair done and have lunch with my friends when I was working full time AND going to school full time! My son is 3 and he started preschool this year. This gives me 2.5 hours, twice a week to do what I absolutely can't do with him. I usually study as I am taking on-line courses... Sometimes I just continue with what I usually do... housework, grocery shopping, vet visits, laundry... And yes, I occastionaly will use this time to go home and jump my honey! (He works from the house) When my son is home, we play, read, paint, watch tv, ride bikes, take walks... He loves the fire department, library and there are a few indoor kid play areas that we go to. He's very helpful so he helps with the housework too! Oh, and in my spare time, I run the office of the business my BF runs from the house. : )
