What will you do if this happen?

What if a person is very very sick while operation and medication just making him/her even feels bad(might even die) even though he/she can survive, will you try to make him/her survive by going on the operation and medication or rather let them rest in peace with the technology today?

Well...sometimes i think this over and over again...yes, we should try our best to save people lives but they just barely survive and unable to do anything for life...is it what we did is good for them? I think morally we are doing the right thing but we didn't felt what actually the patient really felt...so what is it really for us to save them if they aren't getting better but worst? Is it our sympathy that drive us to save them or just merely we think we are doing the right thing without thinking what the patient will felt afterward?
