Do you refill ink cartriges even though the warranty of the printer forbids it?

Since print cartriges are expensive, i learned how to refill them myself, however the warranty states the using refilled cartriges will make it void. I cant help it because refilled cartriges works well and it save me time and money. Do you do this too?

I bought a new epson printer and had it on continous ink, but the logic board was destroyed because of it so i got another printer instead which is a brother brand, it is refillable unlike the epson that you need to reset its chips. old printers do not have the chips that the new ones have so they are refillable, ink is cheaper than cartridges

I guess the new generation printers are made to become very dependent on their own branded inks. They are trying their best to curb the selling of refillable inks and many more.

I am currently using a Brother All in One printer that consumes a lot of ink even when it is on standby. Unlike Epson and Canon, their ink cartridge is very expensive and a full replacement can easily cost 50% of the retail price to purchase a new printer with a full set of ink cartridge included in the package. So I prefer to use 3rd party ink refills to top up my ink tanks. However, before using the ink, I will search the Internet for users opinion on which brand is the most compatible to the exact model that I am using. But the best is to get brands like Canon and Epson where their original ink cartirdge is supposingly cheaper than other brands.

thats true, i use a Brother DCP450 all in one too in one of the labs i manage, the catrige is very expensive, i had it on CIS, but the HP photosmart, i refill it manually using a syringe. It very easy to refill, the epson has a smart chip on it, you need a resetter to refill it, however its true that epson and canon has cheaper genuine inks.

When my cartridge gets over.I always buy branded refill cartridges. It gives me a good print quality. It also prints a lot of pages.I get the cartridges cheap from my computer vendor.

thats nice, branded refills are dependable. In my case though i'm in the province and resourcefulness counts, vendors are scarce here and i have to go to manila to buy supplies, so i do the buying once a month only. but when really needed i am forced to do refills myself

Yes because it is less expensive. In fact I use the continuous ink system. It is better than refilling ink cartridges.

the bulk ink system is really good, however one of the printers i use which is a Photosmart c5200 has no CIS available so i refill it manually. i have another printer on CIS it is a Brother DCP450. it works well.

Practically, refilling ink cartriges works fine with me. Buying new one's is a bit expensive. If the printer warranty would be void I guess the only option is to a freelance technician. Saves money as well.

as a matter of fact i see priters nowadays as disposable, once destroyed the best option is to buy a new one

i do not refill them myself, but i go to a ink refiller station... i still refer buying the ink though, my print prints nicer using the original ink... i just used the refilled ones when i have really something important to print to or my deadline for my assignments is near...

sometimes ink refillers do not refill the cartrige very well, they sometimes put inks that clog, like the HP, the cartrige is already the printhead, when it clogs its very difficult to make it print the way it should be. so thats why i do it myself to be sure.

No, I don't. In my experience they leak. So it saves time and money to just go buy another one. I know it can be more expensive. But so can ink leaking on equipment and important documents.

I will typically refill a cartridge twice using a refill kit, then throw that cartridge out and spend the money for a new branded cartridge. I use a Lexmark printer (Z11) that is getting old and the color cartridges are getting hard to find.
