hi all! are you parents already? which is your diaper of choice? huggies or pampers? i asked my hubby to buy huggies because they are cheaper than pampers, but in the course of the exchange, he thought that i wanted him to buy pampers. but anyway, i heard that pampers is better, only more expensive. but my hubby bought the pack with 68 pcs, at 10% discount. so it turned out really cheap at 5.36 pesos each. do you think this is cheap already? what are your thoughts on pampers and huggies? thanks so much! :-) good day and God bless you!

I have a 15 mo and have tried every brand, trying to find something good and cheap. I finally settled on Pampers, and here's why. THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER!!! Those first few months you have poopy blowouts all the time, but pampers did such a better job with them than huggies. The fit is better and they're much more absorbent, so we had way fewer leaks. It might seem that the cost would be more, but I feel like what I save in laundry (and headaches and time lost rinsing things out) and what I gain in baby's comfort is totally worth it. (On a side note, I feel exactly the opposite about wipes. Pampers wipes are thin and smell like apple juice (?) while huggies wipes are thicker and not as wet and sloppy. It takes fewer huggies wipes to clean up, and they don't smell weird!)

I got a lot of Pampers & Huggies at my baby shower. Of course in the hospital they give you pampers. So when I got home I tried the huggies in newborn size. I didn't like them at all cuz they were so low cut in the front to keep from being around the belly button that whenever she pooped or peed a lot it'd come out the front. So I was always changing clothes. When we got into stage 1 I only had Pampers on hand & when I was out I bought pampers too. Now she is in stage 2 & opened a box of pampers first. I have huggies in this size so this week I decided to go with the huggies & this stage isn't bad with them. So I am pleased with them this time around. So either or is good in the bigger diapers, I just wouldn't recommend huggies in newborn size. Oh BTW, go to pampers.com & huggies.com and sign up cuz they will send you coupons.

Hello spoiled311, My son who is 2 years plus is still using diapers. Since he was born till now, I keep changing his brand as he is quite a big boy. I like Huggies and Mamy Poko but unfortunately, my son couldn't wear both brands as he is extra big boy. The only brand that he can fit in right now is Drypers XXL. It still costs me a lot too as he needs 5 packs of Drypers which consist 32 pieces each.

Yes pampers is expensive but it's better than huggies my son likes pampers is because of it's comfy style and less rashes. But speaking of cheap, i would said that EQ is more cheaper and that's what i am using when im in Philippines. Better value and it's designed with no leakage. Happy posting.

here in the middle est I'm using pampers but back there in the phils, i prefer drypers. i don't know why the quality of pampers is different there. my child has rashes there but before when they're here, they don't have any.

Both of my children wore Luvs because my oldest couldn't wear Huggies they just didn't work for him, rash, etc.. It was bad. So we went to Luvs they worked great and were far less expensive than either of the brands you mention (of course that was over 6 years ago- so things could be different by now) Good luck you and happy parenting.

I never really used pampers only when my kid was born in the hospital or when he was sick at the hospital because thats what they use there. I use to buy huggies. I personally think huggies are better than pampers but out of all I use Luvs on my son and hes use to them now if he uses anything else he breaks out. I get my little one Luvs actually. I love them. Ive never had any problems with them. For a pack of 120 its 20 not to bad at all.
