Crest products?

Today, I went into Walmart and I looked for Crest Whitening Strips... I heard they were good, so I went shopping for it and I ran across a bonus pack that included Crest Pro Health mouthwash and Crest Pro Health toothpaste with an Oral-B toothbrush. Since it came with the strips and was $5 lower than buying the strips without the bonus, I was like, "What the heck?" and I got it. When I tried the mouthwash, I had a funny taste in my mouth. So, I researched online and I found out that the mouthwash apparently stains teeth brown -- yuck! Since the toothpaste is the same type (Pro Health), I looked that up and that apparently isn't any good either. What is up with Crest Pro Health? Are all of the products in the Pro Health series suckish? I told this to my dad and he told me that I was lieing and that these products cannot cause these side effects. So, he grabbed them and now he's using them. I'm worried. Do these products really ruin your teeth? I heard Crest Whitening Strips were great and harmless, and now I'm hearing Crest Pro Health is the opposite. myLot, I'd really like your opinion here.
