Dying w/o fear....is it possible?

I think there are people who are just tired of their life and the pain that comes from the life threatening disease that they have. I think in those cases it's entirely possible to die without fear. Plus when you take into consideration that some people die instantly in car crashes, they really die without fear. There's also probably people who have no family or friends left, and feel they have nothing left to live for.

This is one thing I am afraid of. I am hoping I would be ready when the time comes.

I think I am a little different than some people. I really do not have any fear of dying. I think it is the pain and suffering that comes along with it that scares me more than anything. And of course the medical bills. There is a song written on a subject similar to this, but I think it is more of a joke. The guy starts out the song by stating that he is not afraid of dying. I actually think that we will be better off once we are gone, we just have to live through life's trials and tribulations here on earth, and then there will be great rewards for us. Ok, I guess I'm kind of strange, or just have a strange outlook on it. Or maybe I just think life is really challenging. Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a great day!

it is difficult. all are really afraid to die. and if given the choice many will like to defer it!!

I am not afraid of dying. I am however afraid of dying in pain. I don't want to be in pain when it is time for me to go. Ideally, I would like to lie down, go to sleep and that be the end of it.
