When ever possible, i will try to respond to some newbies discussion if their discussion are in the no response tab, just show my support for them, and encourage them to post, if not, no newbie will want to continue mylotting anymore, it is very discouraging to receive no response in discussion here in my personal opinion, but sometimes i just can't respond because i can not understand what the discussion is about may be due to his language skill or grammar or unclear topic, in that case i am out of option except ignore that newbie discussion. For an old timers, it is understood he will have no response if he never bother to comment back his discussion all these while or never bother to respond to friends discussion; then i guess the reason is very obvious to you why he has no response at all, may be everyone including his friends want him to talk and discuss whatever topic by himself...lol!!

hehe, yes i understand, well i guess what we should just do here is to have a give & take relationship! i think friends are of great help so that e don't get any zero response in the future...
thanks friend!

Hi, my friend, that is why i think Mylot has a friend list in our profile page, it is for us to help each other out in the discussion, and also the whole purpose of starting a discussion, that is to respond and comment back and forth between members. I normally like to respond to newbies no response discussion but not old member who never bother to comment back their discussion, many times you can see for yourself some members just disappear after they posted a discussion and never comment back in every one of their discussion by checking out their profile page, in this case, i will not waste my time responding to someone who has acted this way except may be one or two responses, that is all from me.

yes lampar, i agree & i understand.
like you i also don't like those who didn't comment back on my response...
oh well i understand that its not their obligation to comment back specially if they don't have anything to say...i am also guilty of it once when i was just starting, but now i always try to comment back to all my responders to show them that i acknowledge their participation & that i am thankful to them.
but another thing that i don't like are those skippers... like they are commenting back & forth to some of their responders while skipping your response! huh! have you come across those types?

Well there are so many new posted discussions everyday in here... Imagine how BIG mylot FAMILY is... Well, being disappointed is normal, especially if you are really seeking for opinions and views of others... I see lots of members here saying the same and feeling the same as yours. Even I feels the same way sometimes ckyera... In fact I have few no response discussions too...
Actually, you can send your list of friends an inviation through private message. Asked them if they can participate on your discussion and tell them that you will really appreciate their responses... Oh by the way, don't forget to include the link to your discussion.

Well, with so many different people coming in here and posting, and starting New discussions it is hard to tell how many hits a discussion really will get, and if it will even be noticed from others as well. That is a Great reason to Turn on your Notifications while making a lot of friends in hopes someone will want to respond back as well. And if you have ever noticed, sometimes it could be the Subject matter that makes the Hits as well.

it's kinda frustrating for me too. i have several topics in the past that had no response. but thanks to one of my earlier friends here, that she checked out all my discussions and responded to most of them, especially those with no responses.

I don't think its realy a big deal. It can take time for something to recieve replies, if it ever does. Most often posts like that have a lot of information, or not enough information and debth to start a decent conversation. So while a discussion may recieve several hits if it lacks the right detail, and draw the reader to respond then its highly possible that wasn't a good discussion and no one's going to want to respond to it.
I try to respond to just about everything I can. Get myself out there, and make myself known. By doing so people are more likely going to return the favor and respond back to me when I post a discussion, or request my friendship. Both of which I've had happen.
Sometimes you have to give a little and you will get a lot back.

hello kaylachan,
i agree with you, and i am also doing that, trying to participate in other mylotters discussion for a hope that when i start my own discussion, they will also do the same...
but now i am not really a starter already, i am more into responding no and i enjoy it this way...
thanks & i guess give & take relationship is a good thing here...

Hi,ckyera.!
it is not easy to get lots of response at the beginning ,because we aren't familiar with mylot and we don't have enough friends.
so don't worry and take it easy.just practise more and make more friends.you will find as time go by,your friends get more and more, naturely your topic will be seen by more people and get more response.
keep going !.

Nice topic. you'd surely get responses. Cheers~
Anyway, I'd be quite disappointed because it means nobody shares the hype I have for that topic I posted a discussion about. But that's life. We can't please everybody at all.
Happy mylotting!

Hunt everyone of the non responsive mylot users down, and tickle them till they squeak.
