Why do we need hospitals if they cant do anything?

GRRRR! I hate hospitals, especially the ones here in OK. Generally, I'm a happy, giddy, lovin life kinda person, but lately??? Well lets not go there. Anyways, the hospitals here dont do anything but bill people really. Unless you have like great health insurance. And not just any health insurance mind you. No, cause my sister has military health insurance and shes pacing the house right now cause shes in so much pain with Gall stones. The hospitals here always tell you the same thing, Its nothing really, could be this or that. But its probably something that will go away on its own. Then give you meds you cant afford. As a matter of fact, about two weeks ago, my old man went into the hospital because he was having chest pains. Took him right in, hooked him up, then started talking about things his chest readings were doing. Called in about probably 7 doctors or more, and just started pokin around and rearranging wires, then contemplating the readings more. Okay, so he starts gettin a little worried, thinking something was wrong with him. So he asks and you know what they tell him? Oh its nothing. That reading doesnt mean anything, its just there. So you have to have half a dozen medical professionals come into a room to find out whats up with a reading that is "just there"? Come on people, get serious. Then the doctor writes him prescriptions that are rediculous. One cost 204.00 and the other hasnt been on the market for over 4 years. It makes you question the competance of the doctor if he doesnt even know what meds have been off the market. Im like whoa! Dont want him workin on me. Specially if I have some new modern disease. He wont know what it is, and tell me Im just fine. Or ok, take me for example, I had to live with kidney stones for almost three years. Massive, unpassable kidney stones. The doctor told me to my face, yes you have really large kidney stones. They can not and will not pass on their own. You will have to have laser surgery to remove them. They are causing kidney failure, which could if it gets bad enough could seriously hurt you or kill you. I say okay, what do i do? Make an appt with the neurologist. I say, do i have to have money up front? cause that could be a problem. but its okay if I can just make payments. thats easy. Then he says, yes you will have to pay at least half up front. Well can you guys help me? He literally said, I can give you paperwork to fill out and you can come back when you are approved for medical. What if Im not approved? since ive applied several times. Then come back when it reaches full complete kidney failure, and ill see if theres anything I can do. why are the doctors there? are people who dont make 80 grand a year, not supposed to get sick? Whats up with that? Ive had EKG readings that were "odd" and "like nothing the doctors have seen before". but they cant do anything until I am approved for medical. I went in one time, was having some troubles with my leg and hands. They go numb often and for no reason, often for days at a time. He says he thinks its some neurological disease that has to do with the spine or brain. But they cant do anything because aside from blood and urine tests, they arent authorized to do anything else at that hospital. This is stupid. Then why are they there? If they cant do anything more than a clinic, why do they waste our time and money? I might just be rantin and ravin because my sister had to go to the hospital for the second night in a row because they dont want to do anything for her. I know how serious gall stones can be. Not to mention the doctor told her yea, its pretty bad. just like that. that casually. because there is absolutely no bedside manner at this hospital. seriously, there isnt. theyre all rude. none of them are the type that would make you want to be strong, just because you dont want to live another day and have to deal with them. I might be crossing on a thin line here. I know there are so many people here who love hospitals and the things that they can do. I do too, in other places, but I've never seen such incompitant(SP) doctors as I have here. I still aspire to be a doctor. I want to work in Labor and delivery, but I will be moving out of this state before I do it. Thank you all for listening to me ramble. I welcome any and all opinions, whether they agree with me or not. However, I will report any rude or mean messages. Please remember, we are all entitled to our opinions, and I welcome you to share yours. Thank you all again for listening to me, and sorry for all the spelling and grammer mistakes. I dont correct myself when I'm mad. Sorry again.

it is true. in our country the government hospitals are in pathetic conditions. few very costly nursing homes are there. they need so much money. still at time they are not serious in treatment
