Why won't they listen?!?! THROW IT AWAY!!!

ZOMG, k. I still live with my parents and all. And I'm facing some issues at the moment. Here's the thing, my dad dug up plants from my grandma's yard to 'preserve" and grow them indoors for the winter. And these plants aren't even attractive at all. And they're gross and rotten and the smell is killing me. Like they've been in the house for a month and a few weeks and all my brother and I are doing is spray oust, wear surgical masks in and out of the bathroom. Since it's nowhere to be found now... The smells' gotten worse, my mother can't stand it. I'm getting sick. And my stubborn father won't listen! And it isn't a plesant smell at all! My mother wants to throw them out as much as I do and she said she'll be planting way better plants than those ugly things. Gosh, they don't even match the color of the outside of the house. Bad enough some of them died and are growing mold on them... O_O GAAAAH!!! What are the effects of rotten plants anways??? WHAT SHOULD I DO in my situation? Throw them out myself by getting a heck from my dad after even though it will help for the benefit of my health and my brother's since it is in the basement bathroom and we both live in the basement... OR... Do nothing, get those masks that they use for toxic fumes or paints and use it as a fashion statement around my house except for kitchen, bedroom, and upstairs bathroom...?
