When the bristle start falling one by one while u brush your teeth, It is the time for a change. I never wait for 3 months. I change it once in a month. It has been my habit since my childhood. My monthly provisional list will defi have a toothbrush. Its all in your habit.

I usually change my toothbrush every two weeks because of my hard use. My mother suggest I shouldn' t press too much presure on my teeh when brushing. Yet what i think is hard use could make my teeth more clean. And i learned from the newspaper that one should change the toothbrush regularly for one's health because teethbrush is a ideal place fostering the bacteria.

I usually change my toothbrush after around a three-month usage. But most of the time I forget changing them the only time I change them is when I'm at the grocery buying supplies. I do not go to grocery just to buy that because it's already three months since I first use my toothbrush.
As long as I know that my toothbrush can still be used, and still safe to be used, I'm going to use it. I would know if I need a new one if its bristles are really worn out and a little more use and they'd fall on the floor!

In my family, I make sure to change toothbrush before reaching three months time of usage, I always make it a point to have a new toothbrush in my cabinet at home for emergency use. ( Such as relatives sleeping over or some guests ) Being ready is helpful and its better to have an extra brushes at home when you feel at brushing time that the one your using is not good enough.. :)

I would say every 5-6 months or when you notice an obvious wear on your toothbrush. Unless you brush like a maddd person, you shouldn't really have to buy a new toothbrush every month. Then again, it's not like they're super expensive to purchase. If you're a really picky person I would say more like 2-3 months.

I like others have mentioned, also change my toothbrush when the bristles look worn out. It just doesn't work as well when my toothbrush is worn out and I wear mine out way before the three month period haha. Maybe its because I brush too hard I don't know, but its a good thing discount stores sell toothbrush now so its easy to replace. xD

Hi. maroseqf. I agree with the dentist advice here. I change out my toothbrush plus my kids toothbrushes too, every three months. We all have new toothbrushes every three months. I make sure that I do this too. It is more cleaner to have a new toothbrush every three months, rather than to have the same old toothbrush all of the time.

I'm very bad at this! I have not changed my toothbrush in months and I guess I take it for granted that the brush still works! I used to buy those very expensive colgate total brushes and it would be quite a challenge to change those every three months. However, I have started buying the no frills toothbrushes, they are far cheaper and they tend to work just as well. I guess it takes a reminder like your discussion to get me thinking again! I will now focus on changing my toothbrush within the next couple of months. Andrew

Definitely, it depends on the user. If one brushes his teeth too often within a day, no wonder he has to replace it sooner than others. Some forget to brush their teeth even once a day...so, what's the heck about the need of replacing toothbrushes, isn't it? Personally speaking though, when i see the bristles starting to fly away, or if i can't feel the bristles anymore when brushing my teeth, then it's time to replace my toothbrush.

I use Oral B tooth brishes, which is great because they have blue bristles that fade. When the blue bristles aren't so blue anymore, i have it replaced. Most of the time I think the toothbrush would last 2-3 months. My brothers brush their teeth vigorously, so theirs gets damaged after a month of using!

I have a toothbrush that belongs to the brand of oral b. The tooth brush simply changes color as a warning that it is high time I changed it. really like the sof bristles that sweetly give a change of color indication that the have worn off finally.
