I was just about to start the same discussion when I bounced upon this one. I am aware about the number which shows our number of posts. But apart from that, there is a star and a number inside the star. What's it? Before some days, it was 6 for me. Now its 7. So which number is better and what does it mean?

to ahbi_bangal: the star with certain color & number is some sort of a rating. it's what we get when we are given the best response in a discussion. if you could see below a comment there's a +, - & ! sign below. we are given the privilege of giving our co-mylotter a positive or negative rating. aside from that we could also give the same rating to the iscussion as a whole. a positive response would then increase your rank or star sign just like being given a BR & of course & viceversa. if you see your rank go up that means that a certain mylotter gave us a positive feedback. however we don't have the right to check who he/she is coz only mylot can see it & of course not to create a feud. the star can go up & down depending on your responses. hope i was able to shed a light on this.

welcome to mylot! i hope you would enjoy your stay here. the number beside our usernames are the # of post we commented or joined in a discussion. but the comments or replies we make on our own discussion does not count. i guess you're wondering too on the stars with colors & numbers before the username..? that my friend is sort of a ranking. it is a rank that depends on the comment we made or the rank we were given. we mylotters have the choice of selecting the BR or what we call the "best response" which then gives us a certain star level. we are also rated on our comments & dicussions whether it's negative or positive. highest star is blue with #10. negative rank would then decrease the start & vice versa. since your new elgrasya, i suggest you check on mylot FAQS coz it would answer most of your doubts or questions in mind. what i gave is just a jist. enjoy your stay!
