medicine more side effect than cure?

i just fill a prescription for my daughter and decide to read the label,she have a cold i just want the cold to go away but after i read all the side effects i'm scared that it is going to make her more sick than she is now do anyone worry like that or it's just me.

No, it does not worry me. I read the side effects so that I recognize them if they happen but, the truth of the matter is, that very few people experience side effects. Our bodies are amazing and very adaptive. For every one person that experiences a side effect, there are thousands upon thousands of people taking that medication who won't experience one little problem with it. Give your daughter the medication but be aware of the side effects. That way, if she experiences any, you can notify the doctor immediately. Chances are, she won't but she will get well. (I'm an R.N.)
